Yes! That's right! Our Moderator Birlic has achieved his 50th Safari!A Safari is where a Scammer travels a minimum of 200 miles in any direction or crosses an international border. Proving it is often as hard as persuading the Scammer to travel! Very few ScamBaiters have ever achieved this. (I only know of a handful). Hearty Congratulations, Birlic! Already said it in the other thread a few hours ago, but congratulations once again! I remember reading your first safari many, many years ago. Then came the next one, and the next one, and I've had the honor of working with you on some of them (it's been far too long since anyone's taken a vacation to Mali). Here's to many more!

As you all know, getting a Safari is not easy... but, when you have good partners with you, everything is much simpler. Probably 75% of my successes are due to collaborating with my friends on the forum.
I thank them!

50 is an amazing number of safaris. What is even more amazing is how much energy and love of baiting that you always bring to the bait no matter how many times you are called upon. Congratulations, Birlic! You help make Scambating Forum a great place to be.

It is easiest to work in a "group of baiters" because, when the story there has several characters, it is good for each friend to play his or her well-defined role. It is quite complicated for a single person to personify several characters (it is not impossible, but it is much more difficult).

I'm flattered (although I did come into that one relatively late). That's definitely my favorite too. A shame he couldn't find his room at the Sheraton in Bamako. Someday, I hope to see a similarly international safari here, and I'll be the first one here with popcorn and scattered words of wisdom.

Haha! That's a great Safari Birlic. The second to last picture had me laughing looks to be getting exhausted both mentally and physically.
Thanks for sharing

I agree totally. In my (admittedly limited) experience of safaris, the credibility of the characters involved, and the internal logic of the characters and the organisations (such as couriers and churches) that can sway a scammer to going on a safari are significantly increased by a strong cast.

Congratulations Birlic ! Fantastic accomplishment and great entertainment. Reality and fiction at the same time. Especially impressive how long and now far you can keep the scammer on the hook.

Baiting in groups has its other advantages too: you can cover more time zones, which becomes relevant when, you know, someone needs to find the hotel room supposedly booked for them at midnight.
