I don't think they are allowed to open the parcel so I shouldn't worry about that. If they deliver the parcel when it is already opened they will have problems with their insurance company. That's what I paid for.
When I first told brother Roti that I had sent the parcel I already told him that they said something about licences but I didn't understand. Since they assured me that they would solve it I assumed there was no problem. I didn't know this would be the result, so you can blame me for that. It is very unfortunate, but if you don't take over the parcel it will be considered lost. It will be a huge insult to our church and I don't think the elders will allow any salaries to be paid if that happens. I will have to ask their opinion on this, but you worry me with what you said.
Being a reverend means taking responsibility and I trust that you will be able to solve a minor issue. What if one of your parishioners will come to you with marital problems, will you turn them away and tell them it is too difficult? What if a parishioner is in need, will you tell them that it is not discussed that it belongs to your duties? Sometimes the Lord brings things on our path to strengthen us and this might be one of these situations in which you are able to show that you are capable of being the great leader that I have seen in you.

Surely we can make a transfer of responsibility and hand over the parcel to the custody of a FedEx agent. All the shipping and delivery costs will be paid by our company. This operation has to be approved by Sender, so I will wait for miss Weelson's decision to start preparations for the transfer of responsibility.

The procedures are simple and take only 2-3 days, so the parcel could be delivered by the end of the week:
- a joint committee is set up: me (as local manager) + a FedEx representative + a representative of the local customs office.
- the parcel is unsealed and all the goods inside are inventoried.
- the list of goods is sent to Sender for verification and approval.
- the parcel is re-sealed with the FedEx seal and then taken into their custody.
- our company ceases to have any responsibility for the security and integrity of the parcel.

I hope you understand that under no circumstances I can allow them to open the parcel to transfer the delivery to FedEx. If they do that and find the money we will both be in serious legal trouble.
What I understand from the message is that they will pay the expenses of traveling to pick up the parcel in cash. Nowhere do I see anything about them finding the money inside the parcel. Like I said, if they opened the parcel and found the money, the police would be at our doorsteps already and we would be in custody.
I will let the shipping company know that we will not transfer the delivery to fedex.

Then I think we should accept the parish closed as you said, I have said it numerous times this is the hardest way I have ever gone receive parcel from other countries I have never had to go through all this procedures before.. We do really feel disappointed, betrayed despite all our efforts not to allow this parish to perish. Brother roti said it at the beginning and plead for you to use Fed ex courier delivery to send it from Netherlands but everyone refused to listen, we followed every procedure to complete everything asked of us to do and completed it with the pain we have to go through.. It’s our happiness and the togetherness of this community to support us in having a parish in our environment... If with all efforts been used and we have to loose the opportunity not to have the parish in our country then that’s a big shame to everyone of us, The elders refused to deliver the parcel to us as promised now they want us to go to other country to receive it... The development budget and the salaries for you and your disciples will be paid when the monument of faith is finished according to the requirements, exactly like we agreed. Your parish is operational and nothing stands in the way of preaching the word of God. I only believe it will be a bit more challenging if you choose to do it without our financial support, but that is a choice you have to make.
Refusing the parcel will be a big shame and insult to the elders, just like breaking your promise to finish the monument of faith.
I am very disappointed with your attitude towards me after all the efforts I have made to make everything easier for you. Yes it is our mutual wish for the parish in Nigeria to shine and be a beacon of hope for those around it, but it is not good for you to make demands like this, knowing the risks and the results of this. It is not an adult way of dealing with this situation.
Again I like to point out that this is not a negotiation. You made your choice and we will all have to accept the consequences.
