This band of idiots must bury themselves in the ashes if they want to get the church's forgiveness. The funny way they pass the responsibility from one to the other (Roti -> Ben -> back to Roti -> to Ben again) shows us how much they feel humiliated by the demands of the church. Which, of course, made us very very happy.
If this newly invented Ceremony of Penance will be a great success, then surely we will include it in the series of those that the Church of the Holy Lamb requests of its parishioners and reverends.  |

The elders refuse the payment after Ben conducts the repentance ceremony. Maybe Sister Dave will disagree with the elders,fall in love with Brother Ben and travel to the famous resort in Calabar, Nigeria to meet him and hand him over the check for 17000.

That is of course a possibility, but we know that this flock of scammers is broke and probably can't afford to even go to the other end of the city now. If there's hope we will pursue this angle, but we won't be making any efforts when we are sure that they won't bite the bait.

Well, that means that Reverend Ben is not respected by members of the community and does not have the support of those around him. Of course, Sister Dave will notice these issues, and of course the church will ask: "What's the point of sending money to a reverend who has no parishioners?"

FridayYesterday evening, the dialogue between sister Dave and "Ben" continued with another set of 2 messages. Of course, we were right to assume that the scammer no longer finds support and help from his relatives and friends. He probably didn't pay them as promised.  Sister Dave: === mahesh , in a story like this, any scenario is possible. However, as Linoline has already pointed out, we need to keep in mind that Roti and his friends have no financial means right now. It is hard to imagine that they could travel on an 800km journey (from Lagos area to Calabar).

The owner of that passport is obviously much smarter than dear Roti. That's why he was chosen to receive the package.
He probably flatly refused to pose for the BIP trophies. Let's hope their greed is greater than their usual sense of caution. I have seen this situation play out many times in previous baits, and the scammers always get suspicious/confused as to why the BIP procedure is required. Why not state that "because a lot of fraud/scamming has been reported in the past from your general location, we need an additional layer of security" or something along those lines, as well as the fact that it's a high value parcel? It makes perfect sense, and will make even more sense to the scammer. But I'm sure you guys have thought of this, so there must be some reason why you do not use it. What is it? Thanks! |

It's very simple... it gives us the opportunity to "freeze the delivery" (we stop the package at an intermediate airport) and to show the scammer that we have full control over the situation. Psychologically speaking, he feels compelled to obey orders and becomes more docile. It helps us gain more authority over them. In addition, we are so amused to see that they panic when we tell them about the "freezing of the package" and the "abandonment procedure". |
