Pricky, I received the same format yesterday. The scammers are using the name Wladimir Klitschko* to attract victims. That actually gives it a faint air of credibility. The IP address resolves to Dakka, Bangladesh. Dear Sir/Madam, My name is Wladimir Wladimirowitsch Klitschko a Ukrainian former professional boxer who competed from 1996 to 2017. I have had all sorts of fun with this - well my character has. Sad to say that Anna is still in the refugee camp, and there is a little uncertainty if the camp supervisor Petro B***K who had been looking after Anna, has actually been killed by a Russian soldier infiltrator, or the other way round. Petro (or Pedro as I have called him), I think is the same person as Anna (their language and grammar is very similar), and was introduced to gee me along when I had not replied for a few days (I was abroad for work anyway). Still, we have had a bit of a roller coaster, with my character being effectively kidnapped in Cambodia, and having to bribe the hotel, some "men", the local Police Chief and a bank teller, just to get my passport back from the hotel. That involved sending messages back and forth to my attorney, Ophelia (another character of mine), via Mr Petro, to ask her to transfer money for the bribes to my "Laundry" account. Which he dutifully did, and kept me up to speed.....Amazing! See  I am now on my way "home", so once there will be able to resume negotiations with Capital One Bank in the US (another scammer definately as their English is much better, and they are more agressive) to release Miss Anna's fathers funds to me so she can resume her studies in my country. I wonder what else will happen? I will post this as a thread when I have a chance - it is already quite long. |

This one has now moved to Ivory Coast, she got "impatient" waiting for me so "allowed herself to be rescued by a soldier from CdI" who took her to an army camp there, then stole $2million of her funds and ran away (Really?). That was because I was a bit quiet, as I was planning her rescue where I had to drive across Ukraine with my "special friends", I even sent her a video of part of the drive in a remote area. I changed the exif data on the file to make it look like it was taken near Chenobyl. It was only when I got to the refugee camp that I found out she was no longer there. :-( Now she is stranded in the CdI army camp and asking me for money for flights to the UK, they have sent me screen shots from their phone of the flights. I'm pretty sure this is her (his) location - I have their cell phone number which is from there, and they are asking for money transfer to Abidjan, under the character name Anna is using. I wonder? Now is the time to test out some of the MG/WU forms. |
