Thank you, thank you to all of you! Your interest in the bait is very much appreciated!
I made some video recordings from the safari yesterday. When I have the time I will have a look at them and upload some video clips.
Dr. Pou has tried to get in touch with me today, but it has not been possible for me to take his call. I will probably phone him back this evening and tell him that a young man from a local computer store has been at my both with a new laptop. He has also helped me to change all my passwords.
Before I talk to Dr. Pou, I think I will give Agent Phil a call and ask about the situation of things and check his “temperature”.
Since I started to do some scambaiting I have been dealing with maybe about 15 scammer-agents and scammer-diplomats that have been based in Europe. Some of them have been friends of the scammers, but it is my clear impression that some of the agents/diplomat have been semi-professional and part of some scammer networks. It could well be that Agent Phil is part of such a network.

And the game is afoot once more! This reminds me of the old days. Classic scammer pain indeed.

You should ruin the relationship between Agent Phil and Dr Joe by getting Barrister Kofi to "collaborate" with Agent Phil.

sofi, your suggestion is definitely a good option that I for sure have been thinking about. Maybe the right time to do just that is now, because Agent Phil seems to have “disappeared”. I think he has “checked out” of the scam and that he is scared. When I phone him the call goes directly on voice mail. I spoke to Dr. Poe this morning and I asked him if he was in contact with Agent Phil yesterday. He said that he had not been in touch with Agent Phil yesterday. I told Dr. Poe that a young man from a local computer store had been with a new laptop and that he had helped me to change all passwords. This young man had assured me that now it's totally safe to send and receive emails again. Dr. Poe had today a new proposal on how I can make the payment. He asked me to make a cash-depost on a bank account that I previously have got from him. I reminded him about my leg injury, but I told him that I would consider this payment option. I think if I go to the bank at try making the cash-deposit it will show them that I am still interested in the deal – also after I lost GBP 22,000 two days ago. Of course the cash-deposit option will fail and the only alternative left would be a new Agent – and a new Safari. When I on the Safari-day said to Agent Phil that I had made the cash-payment of GBP 22,000 to him, he said that I had not made the payment to him. I told him that I indeed had. We argued about this for a while and he became upset and afraid - and called me a liar. He told me that I was putting him in a very difficult situation. I told him that I had made the payment to an African man. He said that this was big a lie because he was the only African man at Plymouth Yacht Haven that day and he had not received any money from me. He then told me that there is a webcam at Plymouth Yacht Haven and he suggested that both of us went to the office to watch the webcam recording for the period, he had been in the area. He wanted to prove his innocence. Well, of course we didn’t go to the office and he is now back in Wolverhampton. What he does not know is that I have recordings of him while he was at Plymouth Yacht Haven. What if I now tell Dr. Poe and Mr. Joe that I have been to the office of Plymouth Yacht Haven and I have got some very interesting video-recordings of the man, that I made the payment to (showing a video-recording of Agent Phil of course)? I have Agent Phil’s email address, so of course I would put him on cc

13:20 - I have not yet sent a photo or video clip of Agent Phil to Dr. Pou, but I am most likely going to do that when I feel the time is right. For now I (Mr. John) has decided to send Dr. Pou this nice e-mail. The purpose of the e-mail is to convince Dr. Pou and Mr. Joe that it's still a very good idea to try to rob/scam Mr. John, because he has a lot of money, he is an elderly man and he is not very smart.
Dear Dr. Pou,
Thank you for the phone conversation we had yesterday. Talking to you calmed me down a bit after all that had happened on Wednesday. I have slowly started to realise that I will probably never see the 22,000 pounds again that I paid to this African man. However I am still wondering who this evil person is that has done this.
I have also been thinking what if this had happened to someone who had his lifesaving stolen like this. Luckily for me this loss does not knock me off my feet financially and in a few days from now I will probably not think about this incident again.
Dr. Pou I have found the address of the branch of Santander Bank here in Plymouth and I will do all what I can to go there on Monday to make a cash deposit on the bank account you gave me. I will let you know as soon as I have made the cash deposit.
Thank you very much for your assistance and advice Dr. Pou.
Best regards,
Mr. John

Birlic you are absolutely right. Instead of replying to my email Dr. Pou decided to spend some money on a phone call to me. He did not have any instructions to give me, no warnings, no complains ... He only wanted to express his gratitude for everything I had told him in my email. Well.... I just said he didn't have any instructions to give me. That's not quite right. He had two friendly requests. He said that it would be better if I made the cash-deposit early in the morning and that I shall sent him the payment slip as soon as I had made the payment I asked Dr. Pou if he had been in touch with Agent Phil. He said that he had not spoken with him and they are not working with him any more.

13:00 - as the readers on this forum could predict, it didn't go very well for me to make the cash-deposit at Santander Bank. I (Mr. John) have just sent Dr. Pou this e-mail with the bad news:
Dear Dr. Pou,
As I am writing you this email I am very upset and irritated.
I took a taxi to the branch of Santander Bank here in Plymouth early this morning. A young lady was serving me at the bank. When I told her that I wanted to make a cash deposit of £22,000 on the account you gave me, she asked me if it was my account. I told her that it was not. She then told me that due to some money laundering regulations they could not make such a cash-deposit. She also told me that in order for me to make a payment on that account I had to be a customer with them. I then asked her to open an account under my name. She then gave me a paper that showed the requirements that Santander Bank has for accepting a new customer.
They basically want a lot of information about me personally and about my finances. I became slightly angry with the lady and said something to her that I regretted when I was back in the taxi. I therefore went back into the bank to apologize.
Now I am back on my boat. I feel very tired, my leg is hurting and frankly I don't know how we can complete this transaction. Everything is much more complicated that I had expected. I will try to sleep for a few hours now, then I will give you a call.
Best regards,
Mr. John
