Hey, that's great. You mentioned not too long ago that you're technologically impaired, so please consider if it's a smart thing to start killing websites. It requires skills and also insight into safety measures to protect your identity. You don't want scammers to come after you

I am not really too sure what you mean a website killer? You take down sites from the server? You do DoS attacks & DDoS on websites? Just curious as I have not heard of a website killer before

^^^No, he should be reporting the sites to their host with evidence that the site is being used for scamming. DDoS attacks are illegal and are not promoted by SF.
ETA Website "killer" is just a nickname of sorts. The "killer" reports while the host determines whether to take the site down.
This is one of my old reports from a few years back when I was reporting sites:
There may have been (and probably have been) updates to how they're reported since then.

Long time ago i was into computer hacking. I targeted child pornography websites to take down and also destroy their systems with early versions of Memz. We talk Windows 95, 98, 98SE and 2000 era. Hacking back then was pretty unknown and a lot easier then today. Working with other hackers we provide police with the whereabouts of the suspects and it was possible to insert a small app into the BIOS that copied Memz to every new hard drive that was installed in the system.
Times has changed, this tactics became known, BOIS is much harder to program if programmable anyway, even if available anyway as more biosless systems appear. But even back then it was a continuous proces of learning. Renewing the tricks and used software. It changed so much that non of the apps, tactics and software i used those days is usable now. Even my knowledge has become severely outdated.
To permanently take down scammers this way, you have to take several things in account.
First of all, there is a MAJOR difference between African scammers and Indian scammers. The Indian scammer are relative new into the business so they make mistakes. Also, Indian scammers yelling, insulting and threatening a lot, but when it comes to the point, they are just juvenile loudmouths you will never see at you doorstep. Even the promised "i call you so many times that you will buy an other chipcard" has, so far, never made true.
How different that is with African scammers which are mostly organized gangs who have been into criminality before the internet era. Some might be stupid or dumb-by-greed, they DO travel. And if they find you, they will not step back to kill you if they promised so. They are far more dangerous then Indian scammers.
Have this said, you MUST have an EXTENDED and UP TO DATE knowledge about everything involved computers, cell phones, internet, hacking, software and anything else that is involved like hiding yourself. If you don't have that, DON'T get into this. It is dangerous. Overestimating yourself in this is dangerous too.
I my time the first cell phones were unable to use internet, there were no devises like iPad and the like. Only computers. The fact of the matter is that my modern day smartphone has way more power then the computer i used those days to hack down those sites. There is far more involved nowadays, and with it far more chances on making mistakes at your end. And you need far more knowledge.
In short, i would not do it.

Jpsholland, i totally agree, i am from the old school computer says 80s/90s and knew alot, trained in hardware and software for years but that old saying things true if you don't use it, you lose it. I am no longer everyone's technician support since when windows 7 popped up, i wasn't keeping up to date on everything computers, i had the latest and greatest cell phone and used it more. Things i used to do in DOS & Linux is outta date and obsolete. Hacking isn't easy and your number one goal should be to protect yourself whether it's a first time scammer or seasoned vet, because you never know what illegal and stupid things they can do.. But reporting sites that are used in scamming people is a good idea to try and make a small dent in scamming. I read daily of people being scammed after hundreds of warnings every where. And it's sad for people to lose everything because they replied to an email or didn't hang up that call.

DDoS, hacking sites is highly illegal and absurdly pointless to do. Whatever you do with these actions you will never succeed to shut down an site, you will only just get yourself in trouble with law. All of these sites are hosted with big hosting services and they automatically come with all sorts of protection against bad actors. These websites are created and run by professionals in the game and sold to scammers below them (sometimes even scammer will even sell for small cut the access to site for other scammers). The right way to take down an site is to investigate it and gather enough evidence for an report that has to be sent to abuse departments that these sites have. You can look up them in lookup.icann.org and it will be under 'Abuse contact email'. Evidence is just not explaining to them that its an scam but seriously gathered proof. Screenshots of emails where scammer tells you to have an interaction with the site, explanation of the exact point where the scam is located on site, etc. Every scammer is organised its just an matter of where he is located in the pyramid of the scamming game. The thing with 419 scammers is that its an pyramid based game. When victim is scammed he/she will be moved one level up... from standard 419 email to black money scam.... and these pyramid levels will only stop when victim loses everything he/she has. With Indians its completely different thing... They practice basically every scam possible and they extremely well learn from their actions. Its completely useless to prank call them, completely useless to flood their numbers aka Telephone Denial of Service (highly illegal stuff and childish thing. basically its federal crime). When baiter/prank caller does this, the scam continues anyways. Scammer switches number, or just keeps the prank caller entertained and whole call center laughs how stupid the person doing that is. The only way to combat them is to investigate them and shut down their payment portals.

I have taken a few down this way by reporting to abuse emails. It really does depend on the hosting provider what action they take, if any.

<removed full quote of jpsholland post> Generally speaking I have noticed the Indian scammers seem to be more westernized in their ways of thinking. They also get mad and hang up as soon as they have any suspicion they are being played with. That's why I don't really waste my time calling up those call centers and stuff. Although, that is how I got started in 'scambaiting' (using that term loosely here) a few years back but never really recorded it. Some people are really good at messing with these low-lives but I can't ever seem to get them to stay on the line for more than 2-3 minutes TOPS! The 419ers on the other hand, those guys are ruthless. One of the guys in the MSB team got death threats and voodoo threats his first day of scambaiting. Those guys are nuts! And they will stay on the phone with you for hours! Even in a single call! That's why I think 419 is much more fun to bait. It's also easier to get material recorded with these guys because they talk to you for months on end, sometimes years and also how mad they get. BUT yes being safe with any of these scammers is a smart thing to do and is the only way to scambait. If anyone on here has questions about safety there is a lot of smart helpful people on here. Don't risk anything... just ask.
