I get these medicare scammers calling me all the time. They contact me and want my information and then pass me on to someone else. Usually the 2nd person speaks English perfect and pretty sure in the US. I've gotten the name of a few US companies but that's another story...
Recently I got a call and told the first caller my name was "Deez Nuttz" and got him to say my 'name' a couple times. I really wanted to listen to the other guys reaction when he said he had "Deez Nuttz on the phone..." but sadly after about a minute of calling the next person to transfer my call to nobody picked up and scammer hanged up shortly afterwards.
I had a friend suggest "Buster Hymen"... I also wanted to try out "Angri Gurman" and when transferred just start talking loudly in German... I can see the scammer now "I have an Angri Gurman on the phone..."
BTW... for anyone who wants to hear audio of the Deez Nuttz call I have it on my youtube channel. I am pretty sure the mods here are pretty strict on sharing youtube links so just contact me if you want to hear that.
Can anyone suggest pretty good pun names and joke names that the Indian scammers wouldn't get but the American I am transferred to will get???

It is unlikely you would hear that part of the conversation. I can hardly recall ever, in real life, hearing one operator tell the next operator my name; normally, they mute when the talk about transferring the call.
Personally, I never use pun names with Scammers. It is personal preference.

Normally I use a persona name that a friend gave me and have the same (fake) personal information that I have nearly memorized at this point. I am usually a Mrs. Paula Koala from Walla Walla Washington... I got an androgynous voice and it's something I can remember as it is a reference to an obscure children's song.
I've done a few of these scambaits before and have uploaded audio of a couple previous calls I've gotten and they usually will introduce me while I am on the phone.
Usual MO of this scam:
Indian call calls... ask if I have medicare part D, asks if I have supplemental insurance, asks if I pay co-pay, asks if I was quoted a cheaper rate if I would take it, then asks my age. It will always be an Indian person on the phone who calls from a spoof'd local number.
Then after all that he will "transfer" me while I am still on the phone. The phone will ring while we both are talking on the phone and only once during this process did we get a "The text now subscriber you are trying to reach..." prompt. Then next step is an American will answer the phone and say hello and then the Indian will say "Hello, I have Mr. John Doe on the phone and he was interested in getting a insurance quote..."
Then next step is the American takes over the call and starts his portion of the sales pitch. NOTE: Many times the original Indian caller will stay on the phone while me and the other person is talking. I will hear a phone hang up or a "You've been kicked from this conference" while on the phone with the American (after about 5-9 minutes of small talk with the American person). One of the American sales agents and even he stated that he didn't like them because they tended to stay on the phone for too long silently listening to their calls when they transfer people.
------------------------------
I've done this bait LOTS of times on the phone and played a straight laced potential victim and majority of times will get transferred to someone from the US. I say this as they speak perfect English and will name the insurance company they work for. I looked up the insurance company information they provide and read the worker feedback on one of the companies and saw people who used to work for that "Insurance company" complain about scummy practices and that the people who transfer in the calls are pretty bad at their job and can't speak English.
The second company is a US company but shady as f***. I say this because NONE of the US companies that the Indian's transfer you to will give you a call back number to reach them on the phone, and none will honor a call back so I can get my information (my fake persona didn't have his wallet on him atm and requested a call back).
-------------------------------
I get these calls a LOT, they always spoof a local number, they always have a horrible Indian Accent and read the same script and most don't know English (I've said some pretty strange stuff to them), same script, always a warm transfer and always insist that THEY introduce you to the next person.
