Hi all. I've been running an antiscam blog for 12 years but started my YouTube channel in september. The content reflects what I've been doing on the blog for many years. I don't phone/Skype scammers - I've always stuck to winding them up strictly by email and only to the point where I can write about the scam to warn readers (and now viewers) of what the scam entails. I seem to be developing a bit of an obsession with Facebook scammers right now.
This is the channel on YouTube <snipped>

I'm new to this forum. I've run an anti-scam blog for 12 years - if I wind up scammers it's always via email or messaging, never phone or Skype. The usual stuff hit my spam folder a few days ago - Philip Bennett wanted to send me $10.5 (how kind) but it seems I'd been refusing to pay the $95 fee (how foolish of me).
He even told me that he could provide me with the names of referees who would vouch for having received their funds.
Then the scammer sent me the full details of an account with Go Bank. So I contacted Go bank with the account details. Their replies were a mixture of plain stupid and plain stupid. Can't think of any other way to describe it.
I made a video about it for my youtube channel. Am I allowed to post the link here? The channel has been approved by admin for posting in the youtube thread, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post links here.
If not, please let me know and I'll remove it, but it's honestly just quicker to watch the video than for me to paste all the correspondence in here.

(PS - Annie Louise Smith is my online alter ego - the email address included in the video has only one purpose. If you email me there, you might find yourself the subject of my next video.)

@ Keepsafeonthenet: PS. I have tried to warn a bank about a suspected Mule account- their reply: Contact the police. I don't think the banks take it very seriously is my experience. Nice video!

Dear keepsafeonthenet, We welcome new members, particularly those who are active Baiters. I do have 2 concerns about your Channel, which I will describe, below. 1. In at least one of your YouTube videos, you link to (and seem to endorse) a large prank-calling Channel. Like almost all of these characters on YT, he educates the Scammers he prank-calls (for eg, by telling them he has been prank-calling them, disclosing the tricks he uses (ie, to find their IP addresses) and even, incredibly, directing them to his YouTube Channel). This helps Scammers tidy up their acts and become better Scammers. It also frustrates us few ScamBaiters enormously. 2. Here, in your own upload you do the same thing, ie, informing a Scammer that you have discovered his and his fellow-Scammer's real location via grabify: youtu.be/8fjmIyqg-eE Again, this will educate them and they may well begin to use a VPN to fool real prospective victims. Please, read our Ethics, particularly paras 3 and 4: scambaitingforum.com/thread/96/rules-ethics-scambaiting-updated-2020 If you accept scambaiting ethics and would like to continue to promote your YouTube Channel here, I would ask you to please delete or edit any of your uploads that contain Scammer education or promote Channels that 'burn' Scammers, and also do the same in your uploads’ Descriptions. Thanks!

Liking your videos keepsafeonthenet. Avoiding burning / educating the scammers would make them even better. STS

Thanks ScammingTheScammers I'm learning fast. I've been thinking about what I'm trying to achieve after Pricky's comments above. (I now have a very clean shower, cos thinking and cleaning go together) Interestingly (to me) I usually don't really like the videos that burn the scammers, and now realise that's what I've been doing myself in some of the videos. Well, this latest one in particular.

Hello, I am new to having a YouTube channel, I have had it for about a month now. My scambaiting is based on Never Reveal ,I want to expose the tactics used on senior citizens to try to persuade them to turn over their money, My most recent baits last for days * 12 on the last one, and they still try to contact me. My goal is education and exposure so that people can make their families aware of how a senior will be pursued even when the initial phone call ends. www.youtube.com/channel/UCwF1WydOF-wYw5ZpOpoEtuw Link reinstated and approved - JC

Hello there fellow people of ScambaitingForum, i commend you all for your work and i have enjoyed all the videos that have been shared in this topic, congrats for all of you i am a new sub in all of your channels . I would like to recommend a channel that is not mine but i have been following for some years and it is very outstanding since it is located in Mexico where scammers act like they are part of the drug cartels and they use to threat their victims with kidnapping or killing them so it is very frightening as the real cartels are but those scammers usually work from prison and there is no way to control them. I hope you find this interesting. There might be a language barrier since these videos are in spanish but you can activate subtitles. If you really like these videos i would consider starting a translation project for this channel. I am a spanish native speaker so please let me know. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOD53vRB6mUwww.dailymotion.com/sinextorsion -> these videos were removed from youtube

Medicare Scammer cold called me and had no idea why he wasn't able to transfer Mr "Deeze Nuttz" to an Insurance Agent in the US. He tried to transfer me several times but everyone kept hanging up on us when they heard my name. youtu.be/yrfas6oCqt4
