rell82Real scam baiting isn’t something you just jump into like prank calling. It takes a lot of patience, self restraint, maturity and organizational skills. You don’t have to be Martha Stewart but a little bit of organization can help. Will you only bait by text/email? Will you bait by phone and text? What will your character be? What is their backstory? Will you have multiple characters or just one? These are just a few questions that could help you. Just like with many things, you will find a rhythm that works for you. As others have said, read the rules and ethics. Also not only read the Linoline Birlic and bluelady threads but listen to the audio conversations here and on YouTube with the scammers as well. I would suggest a lot of hours over a period of time before getting into scam baiting. One thing that’s a part of the rules and ethics; you never “burn” or reveal to the scammer that you’ve been baiting them. Never.

I have been a "fan" of scambaiting videos since about 2017, and would like to learn more about scambaiting. I did bait a 419 scammer via email once but chickened out when it came to an actual call. I pretended to be George Costanza fr Seinfeld with his backstory and images and even an image of his ID from Vandelay Industries, as a latex importer and exporter and the sad story of "my fiance" and her tragic death by consuming cheap envelope glue. It wasn't very safe, though, because I was using my actual email and cellphone.
I am glad to be a part of this community and hope to learn more about scambaiting and laugh with you all.

Hello. I'm brand new to scambaiting, but can't wait to start. I'd love to collaborate with someone for a scambait. My plan is to only use email for scambaiting, I'd rather not mess with the phone. Anyhoo... Yeah, that's all I've got.
Some info on my scam baiting persona: My "name" is Gillman Chatsworth (based off an exit sign on the interstate). "I'm" a refuse collector from Cerro Gordo, Illinois. Unfortunately "I" cannot call the scammers directly as "I" dropped my Nokia in the lake on a recent fishing trip, and "I'm" waiting for the insurance claim.If you want me to help out on a scambait, send things to gillpill@mailfence.com.
