I am Canadian, new here. I have been following SBC for years. Recently got hooked on Alex Alexander saga. I got sick 10 years ago, was thinking of picking up scambaiting while off work, but recently recovered unexpectedly. So those plans kinda went on hold.ted
Was directed here this weekend from the SBC live stream. Much respect to all of you.

rigel welcome to the forum. Iâm sure you will enjoy yourself here. A lot of the baits are quite long and what I do is convert the text to speech and set the playback speed to 1.25. I used to listen to them while I was working to help pass the time away. Have fun.

Hi everyone, I go by dubloox3. I am a scambaiter from Germany and the reason why I put this IRL info on the table: - it sometimes limits me in accessing tools for scambaiting (for example VOIP) - I'd like to get active in baiting German scams or in communities as well in the future I stepped into the scambaiting rabbit-hole a couple of months ago via YouTube. I'm on TSU and scammer.info as well (some helpful information to get started and a good source for getting phone numbers from tech support scams). Like all public forums it's a thin line between teaching the scambaiter/the scammer and in raising awareness for the public. Besides gaining experience on how to keep scammers busy, I recently dug deeper into what to do with the information I collect (report what to whom .. what's useless to report or does it even harm). That's how I found SCB's video on rules/ethics and how I ended here After reading the rules and recommended posts I want to address some of them, so you know where I'm at, what I might bring to the table and what I might ask. Scambaiting rules and ethics: - I actually realized that I did a couple of mistakes. Not too severe I hope, but I thought reporting Gmail accounts was a good idea and I once burned a tech support scammer on the phone (in hindsight described accurately in the Rules and Ethics: just to gratify my ego). We all do mistakes, I just had to get it off my chest.
Safe baiting: - VPN with kill switch enabled all the times, using proton for mail baits (even though it doesn't mask IPs but I rather use them + a VPN instead of a service like Gmail that forces me to attach IRL data to the account)
- I have 2 VMs on VMware, one lightweight Ubuntu for mail baiting (in case I have to open an attachment) and a Win10 machine + Skype with a US phone number for tech support/popup baiting. The fake bank on my VM is limiting me now (it's obvious to most scammers).
- I've done some 419 scams with the proton mails but I mostly stopped when I got some payment information to report. Besides manually writing to the scammers, I've been doing some experiments with chatGPT lately and I am trying to write some python scripts as well.
Reporting my findings: - Reporting to the IC3 was kind of useless regarding the baits I did (as their is no real victim). But I do report the whole scam attempt to the FTC (I'm not sure if that's helping)
- Reporting BTC wallets sounds like a Sisyphean task to me (I lack some knowledge) but I found "Chainabuse" to report the wallets, hoping that a victim finds them searching the internet.
- Trying to report bank accounts (mule or another victim) has been extremely frustrating so far. I succeeded in reporting one to Chase (I was transferred for half an hour or so) but I recently failed in trying to find a contact at Wells Fargo for example.
I'm glad I found your post about "reporting scammers bank information", so I will report them soon as my first steps here. I'd be interested in how you report it as well (if you can tell).

eta: Reporting bank accounts used by scammers is the best way to hurt their pockets! Unfortunately, once they are reported to our contact we do not hear anything more. Congrats for already supplying a couple!
Information you receive from a bait (if you want to go the extra mile) is to post the opening script, names and email addresses the scammer used to Fraud Fighters Online. This will help future victims of scams if they become curious and find info that you have posted.

Hello everyone, It's my first day here and I strongly support the scam baiting community. In my free time I hope to learn and help out, if possible. Maybe develop a few new friends here.
