Let's wind back a fortnight.

Sorry for intruding into your privacy!
I got your email from an e-marketing company, so I decided to let you know about the business opportunity of supplying us with raw material from India. I am an employee of a multi-national animal vaccines production company in the USA and UK working as the production manager.
There is a raw material which our company always sends me to purchase. Right now I have been promoted to the post of production manager, our director has asked me for the contact of the local dealer to enable them to send the new purchasing manager to purchase the product directly from the dealer. I do not wish to let anyone in our company know about this because of my interest in the business and the profit we will be making in supplying the material to my company. I intend to present you as a supplier in your country (You will be a Middleman between our company and the local vendor) so that my company will not know the main source of the material. This is just a kind of buying and selling.
The local dealer in India is selling it at the rate: ($29,000.) while my company purchases at the rate of ($47,000) which has been the market price, and then all profits accrued would be shared between you and me, after deduction of all your expenses, etc. This would be a long term business relationship between you and a UK company. So i want us to take advantage of the market price that the India dealer offers the product on for a good earning. It's quite unfortunate what happened to my late partner, who used to purchase the material from the local dealer in India and supply it to a UK company, I found out he died of Covid-19, May his soul rest in Peace.
This material can be found in India and Fiji only but cheaper in India. I want you to act as the dealer. I will present you to the company as the dealer where he was purchasing this product; You would now purchase the product from the manufacturer whom he used to buy from, and supply it to the UK company. After purchasing from the original manufacturer, you would sell to our new purchasing manager at a higher price. The profit would be shared between you and I. This business is very lucrative and it is continuous.
Your role must be played perfectly and the least I expect from you is betrayal. I don’t want my organization to know the real cost of the product because of my interest. Kindly get back to me if you are interested. Awaiting your reply with best wishes, kindly reply in the future corresponding if you are interested.
Regards,
Andy Griffiths

Dear Malcolm Reynolds,.
Thank you so muh for your response to my business proposal I sent to you in good faith hoping that it will benefit both of us upon the conclusion.
MY PROPOSAL DETAILS:
I have supplied some industrial raw material to our company in the past with the assistance of an Indian business partner resident in Dubai, U.A.E, and a Native of a city called Termilnadu in India. The UK company procurement director contacted me recently and informed me that they are out of stock of the raw material, only for me to find out that my Indian partner died some months back on CoronaVirus, COVID-19. The name of my late Indian partner is Mr. Rajneesh Shankar Kumara and as I said, he was from a city called Termilnadu in India.
The name of the material is Hydormozine Liquid, 90% purity and above. I contacted the local dealer in India who supplied us the material last in August 2020. I have tried calling the local dealer but I would like you to contact them to confirm the availability and the current price of the material.
Hydormozine Liquid is a raw material used for the production of animal Antiviral & Retroviral Health Vaccine product like Hydormozine PASTE 1.87% W/W, IVERMECTIN, Hydormozine BOTICIDE, NOROMECTIN, Hydormozine 1% W/V SOLUTION, Hydormozine INJECTION, Hydormozine HORSE WORMER FOR HEALTH TREATMENT OF HORSES, LIONS, RHINOS, HIPPOPOTAMUS AND OTHER WILD ANIMALS.
Again i would like to inform you that there are no illegal consequences in this business, the product is not prohibited by any law in the world besides you are dealing with a MultiNational Group of companies who have been dealing with this for many years with other countries.
The Hydormozine Liquid is a specie that is very rare to find and it is not available in the open market under the name of raw Hydormozine Liquid (Herbal), but my late Indian partner (Mr. Rajneesh Shankar Kumara) got the exact specification from a local dealer in India. The UK company purchasing manager will visit to verify, and take delivery of the material immediately they confirm availability of the material. They will pay for the material in whatever form of payment the supplier may demand. They can pay cash on delivery of direct deposit/transfer to your nominated bank account, it all depends on your choice when the company arrives in your Country.
The last 150 gallon supply order we made to the company, we bought the product for approximately $29,000.00 per gallon and we resold it to the company for $47,000.00 per gallon. We made $18,000.00 on each gallon and after the business, we shared our net profit on a 60/40% basis, meaning that way my late Indian partner took 60% and gave me 40%. but this is after settling all expenses made during the process.
I will surely guide you from the beginning to the end successfully. It is only a question of absolute trust and respect from us.
I need your assurance on the following:
A. That you will not allow The UK company to know that you are not the original dealer,
B. That I give you contact of the original dealer because you are to act as the original local dealer to our company.
C. Our Sharing Percentage of the net profit should be 60% for you and 40% for me.
This is in order to protect our interest in subsequent transactions, hence, this transaction would be a continuous one for both. Upon your assurance on the above mentioned points, I will thereafter inform/guide you on how to approach the UK company director for the contract supply order of the Hydormozine Liquid to be issued in your favor. I will also be sending you the contact details of the local dealer in India as soon as I get a positive response from you.
I await your immediate response.
Regards,
Andy Griffiths

Mal has concerns.
ATTN: Andy Griffiths
A couple of matters come to mind.
First up; what quantities of this Hydormozine liquid are involved, and over what period of time?
Secondly; I believe we'd need a contract of some kind, for the IRS if no-one else. I've got no experience in the purchase of chemicals, beyond twelve months in US Marine Corps procurement some years ago, so I'm beholden to you for that.
Thirdly, I'm wondering why you're telling me to mislead the British company into thinking that I'm the original dealer.

Dear Malcolm Reynolds,
Thanks for the mail.
1. The UK Company monthly requirement is around 150-170 gallon every month, and this supply could last for 12-18 months, though it depends on the company director, however, i will guide you on how to approach the UK Company when the time comes.
2. Do not worry about that, like, i am not trying to experiment on this supply because i have done it in the past, and i will guide you from the start to the end of it to avoid mistakes.
3. Point of correction, you are not misleading them, because the product which you will supply to them is the same quantity of the product they used to purchase from the late supplier, there is nothing illegal in this supply, because anyone can supply the product, as long as you know where to get the original material in India, that's what matters now.

Andy Griffiths

Andy sent the email again on 26 June. prompting Mal to respond two days later.
Mr Griffiths
I noted your points, so here's my take on them.
1. "The UK Company monthly requirement is around 150-170 gallon every month, and this supply could last for 12-18 months" - assuming minimums, I put the total purchase price at just over $32 millions. I don't have that kind of money, and I'm guessing neither do you.
2. "Do not worry about that, like, i am not trying to experiment on this supply because i have done it in the past, and i will guide you from the start to the end of it to avoid mistakes." - that's got nothing to do with what I said. You don't have to deal with the IRS. I do.
3. "Point of correction, you are not misleading them, because the product which you will supply to them is the same quantity of the product they used to purchase from the late supplier, there is nothing illegal in this supply, because anyone can supply the product" - I ain't talking about illegality. I'm just curious about why it's so important to lie to the British company, and "point of correction," that counts as misleading!

Dear Malcolm Reynolds,
Thanks for the mail.
1. When the UK Company accepts your proposal, they will make an advance payment which will enable you to purchase the product from the original manufacturer and then supply it to them. The price should remain $47,000 per gallon because that is the exact amount they used to purchase the product from the late supplier.
2. Yes, i know that you should be the one to handle the IRS, however, we shall deduct any expenses you made from the net profit before sharing.
3. Do you intend to tell the UK Company that the original manufacture is in India? because if you do, they would like to know the contact address, and when that happens, we will lose the supply immediately. The only way we can protect this supply now and in the future, is by making sure that the UK Company do not have the contact address of the original manufacture in India, so i don't know how you intend to go about that. if you have any other idea, kindly let me know so that we can look into it together and take the right step to avoid mistakes.

Andy Griffiths

At this point, I checked for other times the Lad's name had appeared in Mal's inbox, and realised that he'd shown up before, only this time he was using a "WAIVER CERTIFICATE" script; nothing came of it, though, as he failed to respond to Mal's first reply. Maybe he doesn't remember Mal?
