As a football fan, historian of sorts and just one of those nerd-brained individuals hated by everyone at school, I sought to track down the game between England and Scotland in May [?] 1980 that featured in the intro. It might be this one though I am not sure if they played again in 1980 ; Goals from Trevor Brooking and Steve Coppell gave England a 2-0 victory at Hampden Park. p.s the date here is May 24, 1980.

That link is where part of the intro into Pricky's live stream yesterday came from? Not hated by everyone! My school's version of you helped me to understand odds and percentages by flipping nickles back in elementary school. Casinos have never held any allure for me.

It was 1981. The FA denied Scotland fans access to tickets.

In that case it was England 0 Scotland 1 on May 23, 1981 at Wembley. There is a YouTube comment: This was the year when the English FA decided they had had enough of being humiliated by Scotland, Ireland and Wales. The Secretary of the FA, Ted Croker, tried to ban sales of tickets to Scotland fans, who traditionally made Wembley a Home game for Scotland. There was a huge banner in the stands shown on TV "How many tickets would you like, Mr. Croker?" Total humiliation! Plus......0-1 lol Video of the game highlights is at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YveA4xqfA9w

It was because of the violence.
