Hi, If you are familiar with my Moneygram Chatbot, you will know I make use of annoying hold music to frustrate the scammers. If you are not familiar with it then you can see an example of what I mean here. I haven't changed the music selections for a looong time and I want to revamp the whole thing, making use of a lot more randomised music in the process. Think of it as the ultimate shit jukebox! I started to put together a decent collection of "shit" but I'm finding Youtube throws out much of it for copyright reasons. The "rules" to copyright infringement on Youtube are a bit of a mystery so my tactic is to throw a load of shit music at Youtube to see which shit sticks and which doesn't. If I throw enough of it then hopefully enough will make it through their copyright filter. Here's where I'm at..... these are all ok (according to Youtube) these are all NOT ok (according to Youtube) I'm not really concerned about monetising my videos so wasn't worried about copyright but I've now seen YouTube take down one of my videos (even though not monetised). Having taken the (significant) time to put the video together, it's a pain in the arse for it to disappear. So... I'm calling on the community... Please post here as many suggestions of shit, annoying, eardrum shredding tracks you can think of. I will throw them at Youtube and if they make it through the filter I can then put them into the new and improved Moneygram Chatbot. Thanks to the community I now have nearly 30 minutes of shit which Youtube seems to consider SO shit I can use it without worrying about copyright. I've updated the link in the original post so it points to all the new "okayed" tracks. these are all ok (according to Youtube) Feel free to listen to what has made it through the Youtube filters and let me know what you think. I could still do with a few more so suggestions remain very welcome. The shittier the better! STS |

Jeez I hate YouTube.... As you know, I've been assembling shit music into 2 videos. One called "Copyright OK" and one called "Copyright FAIL". these are all ok (according to Youtube) these are all NOT ok (according to Youtube) The idea was to keep updating these and let Youtube feedback on any copyright issues and then modify, move tracks between the 2 accordingly. The 2 videos are unlisted on Youtube so you only see them if you have the link (as above). No one stumble across them on Youtube. Now - after a few days... YouTube has REMOVED the "Copyright OK" video. They have LEFT the "Copyright FAIL" one alone - albeit with useful warnings about which tracks / images are copyrighted. Their reasons for removing the "Copyright OK video"? Answer: "This video has been removed. Inappropriate content". The video is/was 32 minutes long, with over 30 different tracks on it. What the hell does "Inappropriate" mean? Which bit of the 32 minutes was "inappropriate"  No copyright fails (which is something I suppose) but what the hell do I do with that information?? I'm gone back over the tracks (slowly going insane in the process). Here are my theories. 1) The intro screen mentioned "Youtube" and "Couldn't be arsed" in the same para. Maybe they are censoring that? 2) "I go chop your dollar" is celebrating crime and therefore violates their "Violent criminal organisations policy" 3) The Waltz of the meatballs contains both cartoon imagary and bloody scenes. Maybe it's even that?! So... I've removed those 3 things. Re-uploaded to Youtube and updated the link in this post. I will THEN have to wait a few days to see if YouTube unexplained algorithm kicks it out again. If anyone can see anything else specific in the first "These are all OK" video then please let me know. It's better than wasting a few more days for YouTube to decide. Did I mention that I hate YouTube! STS |

I think Youtube is having some fun with you. I clicked on the "these are all ok" looks like they removed it again. "This video has been removed for violating YouTube's Community Guidelines". Youtube is a tricky beast. It may help to have two separate ok videos. One with the original music that was fine and the other with just the new videos. This could help solve your thought about the intro and if it is a new video causing the video to be flagged.

IIRC, we used The Marriage of Figaro for the original. That works pretty well. I'm not sure if Baby Shark would be struck down by YouTube, but it's worth a shot. For humorous effect, tossing in one ordinary Chopin nocturne or waltz or etude or something, just to psyche them out if they're expecting the audio to go wonky again, could work. The Curb Your Enthusiasm theme is a good choice if it won't get taken down. There's also this really annoying Chinese earworm that's a Chinese New Year song that drives me absolutely nuts since all the groceries play it nonstop around the holiday: www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_B5SsxaZEQ. Narwhal's is defo annoying so I'll give it a go. It had a lot of views a few years ago so will likely be a challenge for copyright but we will see.
