SIXTEEN YEARS OF BAITING
November 2005 to November 2021
I am not trying to upstage Mr Prithee; hell, I wouldn't even try. I've been strictly a straight baiter for many of those sixteen years, with not a fraction of his achievements in phone-baiting and safaris.
My "career" began on Scamorama in late 2005, as far as published baits are concerned. They may be of interest as a study in the evolution of tactics and style; for example, I used to burn the scammers, but soon learned not to.
Scamorama: www.scamorama.com/. The site has been inactive for quite some time, but the baits can still be read. Look for Eliza Dane, Malcolm Reynolds, Cammy White, Bradley Morrihan, and Mick Taylor.

Congratulations! A great achievement. In my opinion it's hard to do straight baiting. I run out of ideas quickly without weaving the scammers into my alternate universe, so I'm very impressed!

You can tell you've been baiting for so long because you are really entertaining with your calls. I love the way Malcolm Reynolds (my favourite) tells the scammers to cut out the pleasantries. Always good and funny calls. Congratulations on your 16 years

Can someone explain what is straight baiting? I didn't know that that there's a "straight" so I suppose there's also a sort of "non-straight".
From what I've read here, there's a romance bait. Then there's this "church bait". However, I see it simply as a subject or like a topic of interest.

Straight baiting is, to quote an-alias' exhaustive glossary, "Baiting in a straightforward manner with the intention of wasting a scammers time, without using any special methods or trying for special goals such as trophies."
