I wonder why are scammers so intelligently limited that they can't have small talk with someone? From what I hear they are not capable to talk about "everyday & usual" themes with scambaiters. When they are so limited, how can they live? How do they communicate with their friends, relatives? How do they find a woman to marry? I think such kind of boring retards wouldn't be interesting for casual American/European/Asia & Oceania lady.

I don't think it is because they are limited, but because they limit themselves to focus on their goal only and that is money. Small talk won't get them money so it doesn't interest them. They want to have their victim focus as much on the scam as possible to get them invested enough to believe their story.

First ly, not all scammers are from English-speaking nations, and even those from Anglophone nations might not speak English as their primary language.
Secondly, there are cultural differences that often can't be easily bridged. Mr. P may be able to banter with Lads about football, but it's very likely that they won't have many (or any) other common interests.

^Scammers are often interested in the same mundane things in life that everyone else is interested in. My characters often have discussions concerning their family (children, wives, mother, father), their local politics (I used to get some heated discussions going on when Buhari was elected in 2015), love, and money. Overall, scammers are doing as Linoline suggested - in and out, get to the money. Why mess about with anything else? Once your baiting character has made the scammer invest some time with you, you can often have different discussions with him/her. Make your scammer like your character!
