Hi. One of my scammers is pretending to be a job recruiter. I've put "her" through some hoops, and finally gotten to a road block. The scammer only wants to communicate on Telegram. I don't use Telegram, and I do not wish to, due to personal reasons. I wrote back "sorry, I'm locked out of my Telegram account. Let's just do email." But the scammer still insisted that Telegram was necessary. What should I do? Getting a Telegram account is off the table. I'd like to continue this bait though, everything was going rosy up until now.

It's very simple... you will be outraged by his proposal and you will say that: Telegram and Whatsapp are applications used only by teenagers and children, for play and fun. Just like Facebook and Instagram and TikTok. If you want our communication to be professional, we will use the email system so that all messages remain stored on servers and we can discuss seriously. I don't have time to waste with all kinds of childish jokes and proposals.
If he doesn't want to, then abandon him. Never let a scammer dictate the rules of YOUR game!
YOU are the one who leads the story and YOU must be the one who sets the rules! So, fuck them & move on!  |

Exactly like Birlic said. You are the one in charge. Make some comments so that the scammer knows that you are rich as well so they will realize it might benefit them to play by your rules.
Something like "I just brought the new mercedes back to the dealership today because I ordered it with white leather upholstery but they delivered it with black. I made a bit of a fuss about it because the blonde secretary thought black was more classy, but I paid extra for white so I want what I paid for. My friend, do you think the bigger rims will look good or are standard ones better? I don't really mind paying a bit extra for that, but I don't want to look like a pimp and I value your opinion as a professional female with class"

of your suggestions. We'll see what happens.

Telegram is favoured by extremist elements that got banned from Facebook and Twitter. You could always say that you don't want to be tainted by association.
