This is an ongoing (straight) bait with another loan scammer. I like the way Mr. Lad here is going.
He's been silent for almost a day now, hopefully working on a handwritten document.

NB: Also using my publishing-tool-from-hell, I have made a little adjustment to text extraction. Because it is using GMail's text/plain parts to get the text, there were a lot of weird line breaks all over the place (kindly inserted by Google). Tool should now unwrap silly line breaks and produce easier to read output.

Mr. Lad,

I have read and do agree with the loan terms and conditions. However, the decision to take this loan is not my own responsibility because this is a company and there is a Financial Board that has to approve this kind of operations.

The company is currently prospecting the online loan market and I find 3% a bit over the average offer out there. There are lots of companies offering as low as 2% and have been negotiating with a west african company for even a 1.5%. Having a US branch is a big plus but I am not sure if it will be enough to get the Board positive on the deal with a 3%.

Are you in a position to offer or propose any discount on the interest reate? I know other loan companies are offering discounts based on partial loan funding on account of the government due to the cornovirus epidemic.

Lad, your last email was indeed rude and disgusting. Definitely not what I'd expect from a professional business man.

I am just trying to do my work here so this deal can be closed as soon as possible with the best possible outcome. I have been trying my best to perform my work in a rigurous and accurate manner, but if that's the way you do business then so be it.

Mr.Terry has been putting a lot of pressure on me to get these preliminary procedures concluded as soon as possible. So, I'll be delivering the final draft today and hopefully won't need to ever contact you again.

You surely realize all these questions that are too much for you as you say, they have a purpose which is the success of this deal. If Mr.Terry doesn't get the Financial Committee to believe in this (his) idea and with a high degree of confidence in success, there is no business for you. Maybe there isn't even for us either. If the expansion to Europe gets cancelled it could mean massive layoffs.

Dear Mr. Lad,

How are you today my friend and thanks for asking about our situation.

Business has suffered a bit during the lockdown. Fortunately we've been able to keep up with all our management duties working remotely from home.
I miss the office a lot. Working from home isn't easy, especially when you have kids around that can't be quiet or understand they need to play by themselves. Do you have a family, my old friend? If you do you'll understand what I mean.

The production part is the other side of the coin though. Of course actors cannot work and all the filmings we had scheduled for these months are on standby. We had lots of filming locations paid for in advance and all that money is going to be wasted. That's the reason why we're trying to get the expansion to Europe started as soon as possible, so we can relocate staff, diversify costs, staff and get cheaper locations to work with.

I have great news for us. I had an input from Mr. Bean telling me that his work is almost over. With the help of God Almighty early next week we'll have the approval of the Committee already and then we'll call this deal closed. I am already looking forward to materialize our business partnership.

Excellent, wouldn't you by chance have a translated version? If you don't, it isn't a big deal, I can send it down to a coworker at the studios that can probably give it a go.

I am a single man. Lockdown is not affecting me much on the personal side because I don't really go out that much. The internet fulfills all my social needs - gaming, keeping in touch with friends, casual chat with random people and most importantly pornhub.

I can't really complain, not everyone is able to work remotely from home.
For that I am extremely grateful to Mr.Terry, even with these extraordinarily rough conditions there hasn't been a single layoff yet.
Around 30 people were about to be fired a few weeks ago. He fought so hard for them and even confronted the Board about it. He is a great boss and a better person.

Mid week is almost gone already and I have yet to see any progress at all regarding this business deal. The Committee's report which I sent over to you last week contained their requirement and it was clearly and explicitly stated that a handwritten document was required. With a pen and a paper. With your own hand. That simple. I have reviewed the contents of the document you sent and they are ok, but the format as you can probably understand is just not what is expected. I hope you'll understand I can not send this over as it is now in the current situation where it will only further undermine my position in front of the Committee.

So please, grab a pen and a paper and write down these very same words so we can close this deal in the next few hours. Make notice it is absolutely essential that it is your own handwriting and not anyone else's. The whole point of this requirement as far as I know is to be able to evaluate and assess certain business related personality traits. It is way more secure than a signature in an electronic paper which could easily be imposted. Just so you know, this formality should have been addressed long ago actually during the Know & Explore phase which is now far far away behind us. I was wrongly hoping we could just avoid it. I am sorry for that my old friend, I just wanted to get things moving ahead as fast as possible.

Those are meant for personal use like when someone has family abroad and sends them money, or to send a gift to someone on the other side of the world. It is a terribly insecure, untraceable and unprofessional method of payment.

The funds for this fee are ready for release, but they'll only go from bank account to bank account. They are definitely not going to anyone's pocket to go to Western Union and send because it would be a serious and blatant violation of financial transparency and could get whoever took that money in serious trouble with management and even the law.

That email you copied is a valuable piece of information Mr. Bean hid away from me, even if I can't and don't need to have all the details. Regarding the transfer, I can't see anything in his email that hints the transfer was not actually made. I will command him to go back to the bank today and get the slip you need to start processing the loan funds while the amount goes through and hits your accounts.

On another note, Mr. Bean's behavior was completely uncalled for, and you can rest assured he will be getting a severe warning for that. I don't expect receiving another complaint email from either of you. I am a very busy man these days and you are both professional and grown up business men, so please let's work together and do business as such.

I requested access to the company account balance last week and today I can confirm the fee amount was subtracted from it on June the 10th and reinstated back on June the 12th.

I have ringed the bank to ask about what happened and they said the transfer bounced back. They were kind of reserved, and vaguely mentioned security reasons or that's what I understood. They added they would only give more details in a face to face talk in their branch. I will send someone over there or go myself tomorrow to have full details on what happened.

This is totally unacceptable and I am certain the issue is not on our end or even the bank because we're making transfers everyday to different stateside providers. Have you double checked your account details and status? All this is indeed inusual and definitely something abnormal is affecting this transfer.

Making the transfer to a US account instead would probably make things a lot faster and easier. If I receive the details before going back down to the bank again I will bring them with me to wire the amount after we clarify what happened there.

I've been all day roaming around town looking for a different branch that would be open. Finally found one down on <neighborhood>. I had never been there before, and the office was nothing like the main branches.

I got your email with the last minute bank account change by a hair's breadth. I printed and showed them to the lady there then told her the last account you sent is the one I wanted the transfer to go to. She nodded, stapled them together and told me that because the account is a Business Advantage Checking Account and not just a regular personal checking account, all operations especially those involving transfers to accounts belonging to a different bank had to be authorised by the branch the account belongs to which is the <another neighborhood> branch.

It is their internal security policy to prevent money laundering practices, concealment of assets and other fraudulent activities. She told me they would contact either me personally or our bank account holder tomorrow to confirm the details. Because the transfer is to a U.S. account they confirmed once everything was set it wouldn't take more than 10 minutes to go through.

Just so I know, because I may be asked tomorrow, who is EhXXX EduXXXXXX? Who is Paul XXXX? And why the sudden change in the bank account? Why use multiple personal bank accounts to receive this money, and not a single, business one with the loan firm name on it? And please don't mind me asking the following, or take any offence. Are you sure this isn't a money laundering scheme or part of any other fraudulent activity? If it is, I need to know. If I'm going to commit a crime, and I'm not saying have anything against it, I'd rather know it and talk real business. You can be honest with me.

I have told Mr. Leonard to immediately stop and claim back all the payments he made to Mr. Mensah because I am beginning to suspect he made a terrible mistake. Next week he's going back to the Moneygram branch to try and claim the money back then send it to you. He will also be provided the necessary funds in case the original money can't be claimed back immediately.

Of course when Lenny goes to Moneygram to claim back money sent first to Africa and then send it to eastern Europe instead he will be recommended a more secure payment system. One that will require the original receiver to call a certain phone number.
