Scammer vs Victim (or potential victim) is a bit of a chess match. "Good" scammers actually read emails sent to them and reply based on what the emails say. So I sent my schitck out to numerous emails thanks to Al Kaseltzer's work here.
Part of my email is the following
Most replies ignore my email....they just stay on script (most scammers just stay on script, read nothing)...I will occasionally get the "hey guy you in the game" or "hey guy , lets exchange clients" or something to that effect. Well this guy actually not only read it...but put some thought into a utterly ridiculous reply that well may or may not go anywhere....we shall see....enjoy the reply...
Well lets see what happens....

They have cheated our expectations and, after receiving the first $ 450,000 payment of the approved budget for the construction of the new temple in Lagos, they have disappeared with money and have not longer responded to our messages.

So i will stop here while i wait your urgent respond with only your Full name and Current Address as proof so we can take these suspect Mr. Kelechi James to court for fraudulent act and recover all funds he mentioned/confessed duped from you. ( I will attach to you the proof confession document the suspect made and i will help you recover the said funds and transfer to you without you getting into trouble/problem with any government agency in your country)

Oh the Holy Lamb must definitely be at work here. I must clarify something though, it was not my money that was stolen. It was the the money of our Church. It is wonderful that you were able to be a part of arresting these fraudsters and finding out that they stole the church's money. Please send me the proof of confession so that I may forward it to His Excellency Cardinal Eufrose....and our church lawyer who will be in touch to provide you the details you have requested so that our stolen funds can be returned.
As soon as you can send me the confession proof, I can forward to the lawyer and to his excellency.
