David Crosby, Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash Co-Founder, Dies at 81
I would say something about what a shame this is, but the guy, honestly, should've died several times in the past. So, good on him for making it to 81 and being one of the most talented singers/songwriters of his time.
A beautiful voice that embodies the 1960s and 1970s.

Sad. CSNY is one of my favourite bands. They did so many lovely songs. My first exposure to them was their 2 numbers on the Woodstock film. I bought 'So Far' and still play it.
Doubly sad that CSNY split acrimoniously in recent years after internal arguments, leaving terribly bad feelings between the group members.
David Crosby was an iconic musician and singer. His long hair and 'whip' moustache made him unmistakeable. He had great talent.

Vale David Crosby.
I'm grateful to CSNY and bands of their ilk for introducing me to the songwriting / musicianship of that time. It opened my eyes as a youngster.

And we lost Jerry Springer yesterday.. Jerry Jerry Jerry... Chairs flying, nutjobs screaming.. I have heard he was a really nice man and i was shocked to read he was a politician and a lawyer IRL. But i guess he made more money on his talk show than he could being a lawyer. RIP Jerry Springer

Been 4 weeks since Shane MacGowan passed away and although he had been sick for a long while, I'm still numb about his passing. The Pogues was my fav band in my childhood in the 80s, so there. Still really sad about Sinead O'Connor's passing too, earlier this year - another Irish great.
This line from one of my fav Pogues' song "Sally Maclennane" that MacGowan wrote, seems appropriate:
"And some people left for heaven without warning"
I'm sure others have used this line, paying their respects to Shane.

Beverley Wilcox (her baiting name) aka Honey Sis here on SF was one of my Live Chat Moderators (LCMs) back in 2019. We met her when she travelled from Denmark to London in 2019 for the first SBC Team & Supporters' Meet. Beverley was an active Baiter, working closely with Fred (one of my long-term baiting friends and also a former SBC LCM). She was a kind and thoughtful person. We have just discovered that Beverley tragically died in August, last year. May she rest in peace.

Beverley and I baited together for 4 years. We became really good friends. She used pretend to be my crooked carer. We had so much fun and talked to each other everyday, via Skype video. I wondered why our calls suddenly stopped. It took a while to find out what had happened to her. It is a very sad day. She always was in pain but always kept a smile. God bless her

I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Beverly Wilcox. She was a dedicated scambaiter and a vital part of the Scambait Central community as a live chat moderator. Beverly's efforts and commitment to protecting others from scams were truly admirable. May she rest in peace, and her legacy continue to inspire and protect many.
