Soldiers coming into huge sums of money in war zones is a modality I’ve encountered many times in my years of baiting.
Scammer emails have been date-stamped; names have been changed. My comments are in bold.

Infact am very happy right now, I want you to know that as long as I am concerned in this matter, it is 100% risk free and there is nothing to be afraid of because nobody knows the original content of the consignment because I did not disclose to them the original content rather I only informed them that it is a family treasure. As a matter of fact, it is only I and you that knows that the original content of the consignment is raw- American dollars. Like I told you in my previous email, It is under my power to approve whoever that comes forth for this consignment and all I want you to do is to present yourself as the rightful owner of the consignment.
Also, I must not fail to remind you to please make sure that this business is kept secret between I and you until you receive this consignment from them,considering my position here in the military. Not even your Wife, children and your Friends should know about this until you confirm the receipt of the consignment. With reference to the delivery of your package with the Tracking Number:REDACTED, I wish to bring to your notice that your package has been placed on hold by the Airport Authority for some reasons which happened to violate the shipping policies. As the parcel were brought on transit point at Istanbul International Airport Turkey, at the transit check point, the Authority detected that currency were included in your parcel.
Thereby, certain commissions must be paid as a duty via us which is for the immediate clearance of your package. For the main time refer on the A"status" of your package during tracking, this is in accordance to the mode of operations in the Courier sector for financial delivery. I have already taken order number for this package from the Authority.
You are required to follow all instructions giving to you to facilitate the release of your package. To do this, you are required to pay the requested Charges listed below for the immediate release of your package.

In reference to your email, I'm pleading with you in the name of the Lord to try your best to get this fee and send it to the directive so as to enable him to deliver the consignment box to you.
Please if it is possible to look for someone that will loan us this money and I'm ready to give the person %5 of my share because I don't have any means to raise or get such money, as you know I am in the war zone and nothing can be done from my side.
Like I told you in my previous email that these funds contained in the trunk box is my last hope now to organize my beloved family as soon as I retire from the dangerous work here in Kabul,I have really witnessed a lot of things in this field but God has been so faithful to me saving my life and this is another blessing he has given to me and my family.
