Well, I understand. Your investor wants to move his money to a safe place. But that's not the important issue here.
You said two things that need addressing; "all legal documents will be obtained in your name as his foreign business partner" and "you will also be in charge of the investment portfolio". The fact is, I've never run a business or done investment. I'm a retired US Marine, now earning my living as a survival instructor.
I don't think your investor would approve.

Honesty is all very well, but I wouldn't trust an honest rank beginner in bomb disposal to defuse an IED; I'd want an actual expert. Just saying.
But if it's your wish to give me this role, I can't refuse you outright. I will ask you something, though; you likely won't tell me which country your investor's from, but I'd like to know; what country are you from?

I am a British citizen, but the politician is from one of the big countries in Africa. What I meant by hiring an expert, I mean to say if necessary you hire a business expert if need be I do understand your point. Investing the said funds now is not that necessary now the politician just needs protection for the funds.
Is even better for you to be a person with a military background that can handle classified information such as this one. You can receive the money in cash through diplomatic delivery with all legal backing documentation, then keep it under your care once the heat goes down. The investment can be arranged later on. But you will get 30% of the total sum for your assistance immediately after you receive the funds. I hope you understand better now.

In my previous message to you, I was just explaining to you in detail to better understand the processes. It is necessary to obtain all legally required documents such as Source funds and other documents because when the consignment box containing the funds arrives in the US it has to go through the US CBP at the airport to get clearance. It is the required documents that will be presented to US CBP to secure customs clearance immediately after the shipment is cleared. We are good to deliver to your doorstep without issues whatsoever. Yes, diplomats traveling with diplomatic passports do go through customs when they enter a country. However, they are generally subject to different procedures than those for other travelers. Diplomatic passports are issued to individuals who are representing their government, and they are entitled to certain privileges and immunities under international law. This includes exemptions from customs inspections and taxes. However, they are still subject to immigration and security checks like any other traveler.
That is why it is necessary to obtain the required legal documentation. It does not matter if you are not based in the US. Wherever you are it is the same procedure it will just be a different name of the agency for instance if you are in Australia. We have to obtain relevant documents to go through the Australian Border Force (ABF) to avoid issues on arrival. Going through any security checks is not a problem actually. The consignment can be delivered to you anywhere you want in Europe or Asia if you have any more questions and am more than happy to answer all your questions. I will be expecting to hear from you soon.
