West African scammers frequently incorporate religion in their scams, and many if not most of them seem to be believers at the same time as they use it to manipulate their victims.

But trying to manipulate Captain Mal with the claim that "God told me that you have been hurt for pass 3 or 4 months ago and he said that i should console you" is an exercise in futility; and trying to recoup by running a gold selling scam on someone living in Australia is just as pointless.

The scammer's name is changed; his emails are date-stamped. My comments are in bold.
