Today I was able to thwart an attempt to scam someone I knew on Facebook and possibly others who follow her. I wish I had more to share of this but the scammer was VERY quick to delete their comment on the person's Facebook wall when I started to point out a few things... Those comments pretty much were him replying to a random post saying in a nutshell "I love your post and your content and was wanting to add you as a friend but so far you have not accepted". NOTE: The way they wrote it stood out as clunky and unnatural. I wish I could elaborate but the original post was deleted minute after I started to point out their photo belonged to an actual US service member with a different name. I even included a link to that actually service members actual military information, complete with photo that is 100% the same as theirs, but the name is different. I've not seen a scammer delete their original comment so fast, was not expecting that. Below is random pictures from this person's profile and the actual soldier who is a high ranking offical.
