Yes, I have just been there, but the receipt they gave me was the same type of one they gave me before. They didn't even let me keep it and said that they'd email me the pictures of it. I begged them to give me one with the MTCN on it but they refused categorically and told me that if I didn't get out of the line, they would ban me from the office! What should I do?

The scammer, who was obviously not bothering to properly read my emails (which had a receipt attached), said in response:

There are no security questions as far as I can tell, but if they ask you one email me it and I will give you an answer. They'll probably ask you the names of the sender (me) and the recipient.

And call he (or more likely his mule) did - the call can be seen at STS' site - all the ones labelled "Casey Brown" are him.

Okay, so these emails are between Jim and another character, Joshua's uncle, who has worked with scammers before to siphon off his and his wife's money. This part of the bait was less successful than I had hoped but I think it worked well enough in that Jim did not start openly saying to my baiting character that his uncle was out to scam him (although he did imply it at one point), and hopefully it will make him more reluctant to try to take money from the family members of his victims as well the next time he really does scam someone.

He sent a hopeful first email, only to be met with this in response:

Greetings your Nephew ask me to text you, and introduce to you what is needed done

You are a scammer and you tried to fool my idiot of a nephew. Do not even bother to deny because I worked in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria for twelve years and immediately recognised your way of working. What scheme do you have with him? Inheritance of the deceased, or the lottery, or the ATM Card? Which of them did you use on him?

If you talk okay and I can see that you are a smart guy, I will propose a strong scheme by which we can both enrich ourselves. Believe me when I say whatever he has given you so far is nothing compared to what you could get from him if you worked with me on this. My nephew and his wife have more money than your entire village has ever seen in their lives and its just waiting to be took, but I cannot do it myself. If you are an idiot who tries to lie to me, or to scam me, then not only will you not be allowed to work with me, but I will expose you to my nephew. If you tell my nephew about this email, I will say that you edited it and he will believe me, and what's more I will show him formats like yours to expose you. But that doesn't have to happen, if you agree to work with me. Deal?

Now, the scammer did not care for this email at all, refusing to reply, and while he didn't directly tell my character about it, he did send back a stream of emails to him telling him to block EVERYONE and that "even your own family can fuck you up".

At this point, I decided it was time for my main baiting character to take a break, both to annoy the scammer (he is very very impatient) and to force him to interact with the uncle instead. He had been telling me to withdraw my money from MG again, and to post it by FedEx or DHL to his mule's address. Now, I decided that I would post it through DHL, mainly because DHL UK bans sending parcels of cash, giving me an ironclad excuse as to why the money did not arrive. After telling him this using my main character, he asked for the tracking number. (which I did not supply, given that it does not exist) I then told him that my wife was planning a trip to Paris over the weekend, and that I would not be able to answer any emails - and that my uncle would handle any and all potential issues or questions about the package.

After having said that to him, the uncle sent him another email:

Alright, listen up. I don't know what you're playing at, but my nephew is telling me that you responded to his emails telling him not to talk to me - what do you think you're up to? Do not think that you can play these games with me as I am no fool, unlike my nephew. Furthermore, now that he's off in Paris, he told me that I should deal with any concerns you have about the package because he will not be looking at his emails until Monday - a package, by the way, he did not tell me anything about beyond its existence - so you had better speak up and tell me what exactly he has sent to you, as devil's the help you'll get from me until you do. Don't even THINK about telling him not to tell me about this again, especially since I'm now in charge of seeing whatever he gave to you is on its way, and you will respond to my emails promptly and quickly after I have sent them, if you want any help with this package. Now, tell me, what did he send to you?

The scammer decided that playing dumb was the best available course for him, and responded with:

Hello how are you James my name is Jim , how can I help you and what do you mean .

Dr James did not care for this response, and sent an email back saying:

"what do you mean"? What do you mean, what do I mean, I thought the previous messages were bloody well clear enough frankly, but I'll put it simply for a simple-minded chap like yourself. I know what you are, and what you are trying to do, and I want in on it, or else there will be consequences. You can start by telling me what format you have been using, how much money you have taken, and what exactly is in this parcel my nephew is telling me about. Do those three things, and we can work together, and I will even deign to help you get this parcel of yours. Again, do not try to deceive me, as I have worked with men like yourself before and I know all your tricks. Now, tell me the information I want, and we can begin to talk civilly, and I can help you get what you want.

Well I am glad you want to work with me what do you want to know sir.

He then decided to play dumb again, saying that:

No, I sent the right person the email. Let me reiterate my previous point - I am not a fool, and you will not get anywhere playing fool's tricks with me. What I mean by working with you is that I know more about my nephew than very few others do, and I know how you can get money off him. Now, drop this ridiculous "you send the wrong person the email" act if you want to work with me, because you know exactly what I am talking about and you know that I sent the email to the right person. Answer the three questions I asked you in my previous email.

I may be his uncle, but I've never gotten along with his branch of the family in the slightest - ignorant brutes with no regard for anything save for their bank balance. (this was a laddish twist I thought appropriate - very on brand for a scammer to complain about other people wanting money in my experience) Besides, his wife has got vastly more money than we could ever dream of taking, so anything we take off him he can get off her later on. The deal, as previously stated, is this: you tell me what you have gotten from him so far, what format you are using, and what he has put in this package he told me to talk to you about. In exchange, I will tell you how best to manipulate my nephew in order to get paid, the sorts of things he is especially susceptible to, and should my nephew grow suspicious of you, I will reassure him that you mean well and that you are working towards his benefit. I have done this before, with another man - I'm guessing my nephew has told you about Godstime, because he can't bloody well shut up about him half the time. He and I collaborated, and while he was eventually exposed, we both got paid a great deal from it.

Now, I hope I need not tell you that you are not to breathe a word of this deal to my nephew, as if you expose me, I will most assuredly expose you, and tell him that you edited the emails - who do you think he will believe?

Well, what did he say that he sent you, then? I doubt that he faked sending you something, that's not how he operates, my nephew is generally quite honest with regard to such things. But if he said that he sent you something, what did he say that he sent you? He told me that he sent you something as well, so why would he lie to both of us?

Money? Okay, how did he say he sent it? Because if he sent it through a major courier service then they're almost certainly going to seize that package. As far as other questions, as previously stated, I want to know what format you have been using and how much money he has given you so far.

Now, despite him "being willing to answer and trusting you", he did not respond to this email, and by this point, the weekend was over. So I decided that he needed some more time in the oven before getting to interact with my main character again, so to speak, and told him that:

Okay, got a call from him this morning - the package has been seized, because DHL bans sending money directly. In addition to this, his wife wants to stay in Paris for more time, so he told me to tell you that he would not be back at his emails until at least Wednesday. We need to think of another way for you to get the money given that the package is gone - any ideas? What have you tried so far?

Unfortunately, he didn't respond to this email either, and I pretty much gave up on trying to use the uncle character to get through to him. He's still very much a believer regarding my main character, as you will see in my next post, when I show what's happened since I "got back from Paris" and resumed the bait today.

So, in the end I decided that going along with Jim's detection of the evil Dr James would be the best route, and after letting him wait the night for a response, I eventually told him that:

Oh my God. Oh my God. I didn't know about anything like this, can you tell me when my uncle will be arrested for trying to defraud me? I will of course cooperate, but why were you offering to work with him in your emails as seen in the pictures?

Now, I decided that this point would be a good time to remind him of the fact that he had lost a package because of his own decisions, and said:

That was not a good answer. He seemed to have gone quiet on me this morning, so I decided that now would be a good time for the uncle to realise that something was up and threaten him a bit.

Alright fucknuts, listen up. My nephew has been ignoring all my calls, and when I asked his wife to have him call me, the old bitch told me that he wouldn't be contacting me for some time. What did you tell him? My nephew has never ignored a single fucking call from me ever before, and now he won't pick up the phone at all. Yep, I did, and you fell for it completely and gave me six accounts to report, alongside five MG addresses and one WU. 

Gonna try feigning ignorance and if that works, I'll have him fill out an apology form for accusing me of that - not really sure of where else I can take this bait at this point.

Apparently he thought that my character had ran out of money and that's why he couldn't pay, and that my character was making up excuses as to why he couldn't - so yeah, looks like the bait's still on, and now its time for a slap I think while still confirming that I've got the money.
