After a month of begging, I agreed to send "Mario" a package containing an iPad and some gift cards worth $500. Welp! It got stuck in Lagos about 6 hours from the village he lives in. Mario begged a friend to drive him there to retrieve this package from UPS. I kept sending a partial screenshot of a tracking number and showed him the contents of the box prior to sending it. I used my own iPad and a pile on inactivated cards as a prop. I really pressed the content of the box because I know he was going to use this to pay his ride back. As expected, UPS could not find the parcel and Mario is pretty angry. He is now demanding I provide the funds to pay his friend back. Of course, I demanded receipts for all of the travel expenses and I'm pretty sure he broke his phone out of frustration.
