This scammer is using a hybrid format, somewhat like the lottery scam and somewhat like the dying widow format. Plain = scammer, italics = my character Gerald Croft, red = my comments

(The "bank" had contacted me at some point, but made no mention of a fee. At some point Lisa's "lawyer" Barrister Larry Frank also contacted me, but I didn't reply to either.)

I guess this might have been education and therefore a mistake, but I suspect the scammer was more concerned by the potential dollar chop and the fact that my character was ignoring her associates.
