Don't think me weak but I had to stop watching about 6 minutes in when the voice of the Mexican-American female victim is audible. The part I could bring myself to watch was very intriguing, though none of it will be new information to any of us, I imagine the rest of the documentary is interesting, too. I'll watch it later if I can stomach it. Documentary is here

I've watched that one. Love it when one of the scammers says that they get money for "food". Yeah, food.

Here is another documentary about Sakawa in Ghana. I imagine many here will have already seen it, but it's an interesting watch anyway.
There's also a short drama based on real events (including, I suspect, loosely on the tragic fate of George Makronalli). It involves a high-level, unusually sophisticated 419 con. The title says 2016 but the film was in fact released in 2008. An interesting watch, and I would imagine quite eye-opening for those unfamiliar with 419.

A very disturbing and sad narrative. The word “bribe” should have been a 🚩. The moral of this story.......Always listen to your wife. She is usually/always right.
