Whatever happened to Farhad? Pricky did say he left for his home country but it would be nice hear from him sometime.

I have been replying to 419 scammer emails since around 2000. I do love the tech support scam calls, but my favorites are the bogus "Protect my car" and home security scams. I am too lazy to make videos. I live in the Washington, DC area.

Its just funny to mess with people who deserve it, especially if it helps to distract them from hurting others in a small way. And on a more philosophical note, the challenge of getting a genuine reaction (usually anger or frustration) from someone hiding behind a wall of lies somehow appeals to me. b. What you would like to get out of being here in this Forum. The link to the unheard audio Mr. P promised for answering these questions Mostly entertainment. Also maybe the chance to contribute, should I ever find the time to do so. |

Hello All. Been scambaiting on and off as real life permits for 5 or 6 years now. Some of you may remember me as Sportbluecanyon.
Good to meet you/see you again as appropriate. I am in the USA, Midwest and on central time. My main character is a cantankerous old man who confuses easily but digs in and stands his ground. My baiting style has evolved over the years. I do some things that while they do not violate the "ethics of scambaiting" can sometimes be considered "unconventional" and "borderline" in that context..but they do work for me and often yield a hilarious result.
I recognize many of you from previous scambaiting, see some new folks here, and appreciate the invite from Mr Pricky . Look forward to some epic baiting and growing this community.
My in box is always open especially to anyone new to the hobby/community. Anything I can do to help. While this is a "hobby" there is a bigger cause...and I believe in that cause wholeheartedly

I'm Yastreb, based at GMT +10 (+/-1). I've been baiting since mid- to late 2005. I found myself greatly drawn to phone baiting, probably helped by my decades of role-playing games (live-action and tabletop varieties).
I've played a variety of roles in phone calls - Malcolm Reynolds (retired US Marine and my most irascible persona), Bert Say the WU agent (sometimes corrupt, sometimes puzzled), Roscoe White (SAS officer and protective older brother to my other main emailing character, Camille White), Alik-Jay (Camille White's BBFF), Nicolae Carpathia (who's been either Cammy's other BBFF or a scammer trying to warn off Lads), Brad Morrihan (dyslexic outback tour guide), Jeffrey Wilson (lawyer, mainly), and once or twice Mick Taylor (Cammy's abusive father).

Hello all! I am Scamaranga, and I live in western Europe. I've been baiting 419 scammers since 2013.
Straight baiter going on and off for random amounts of time, my longest bait was just over 12 months.
I won't (don't think I could) do phone calls or crazy trophy baits but I really do enjoy reading and listening to them.
To answer Pricky's questions:
a. Scambaiting is easily one of my favourite hobbies. Apart from being great fun for the baiter and their audience, it makes an enormous amount of good for potential real victims. In the short, immediate term, every minute a scammer wastes is a minute they're away from a current, in-danger potential victim. Also, baiting brings a mid/long term benefit in making them increasingly paranoid so that they'll drop a legitimate victim at the first question they consider suspicious. It's probably too ambitious to hope a scammer will quit their activities because of a baiter (be it out of discouragement or a change of lifestyle) but to me that would be the top achievement for a baiter.
b. I'd like to listen to new calls, read new baits and stay in touch with you lot the baiting community. I'd also like to ask for advice whenever I may need it in a bait, and also provide help in the degree that I can to any new baiter that may need it.

Hi all, I'm from Canada and started watching Pricky's videos in 2018.
I've tried scambaiting a little on Facebook (with a fake profile) using some methods in Pricky's videos (a random chairman intercepting the deal, provoking them with certain phrases, pitting 2 scammers against each other, etc). Not as interesting as hearing them on the phone but still loads of fun. I'll share some screenshots and pictures when I get a chance.
