Sir Godwin sends this email to Mr. John after first responding to sister Maya. I like what he writes about Kosubosu - it tells me that it is the perfect place to hand the package over to Sir Godwin's secetary (who in reality is Sir Godwin himself): We try to ask people about that place. Till now no result from the agent we sent to get us that place. 09:59:Dear Mr John How are you doing my good Friend. Hope you people had a wonderful service yesterday.
Good to let you know that I received an email from Sister Maya regarding the delivery to ib.......... ch........... ob........... by tuesday next week.
They should know that the delivery must be secret and confidential not to involve any government security officials or agent. You understand what I mean for the safety of both parties to avoid any money laundering issues.
I have already forward his identification and telephone line for easy communication.
I have contracted somebody who knows little more about the road to lead my secretary to that place. igorlo a boundary of Nigeria and cotonou. But the TSC shipping company still insists on the delivery at The Holy Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church in Kosubosu.
We try to ask people about that place. Till now no result from the agent we sent to get us that place.
We hope that the driver will be able to change his mind and meet them at Igorlo border for safety and secured place
Please try to give me a call today. Furthermore i am including the Living Chapel worldwide, AKA( WINNERS CHAPEL) LOcations in London and UK
Happy Easter Celebration in Advance

Everything that is happening now is just a struggle of wills: - Sir Godwin has completely swallowed the bait, so he is convinced that the package is real and of great value. - Of course the scammer tries to get an easier and more comfortable option for him... it's normal to do so. - Unfortunately for him, time is against him. Any day of delay brings him closer to the limit of "the parcel abandonment procedure" and he is strongly afraid that someone else will take over "his" package. - On the other hand, your character is relaxed and has no reason to hurry. The delivery conditions are those already explained and nothing can be changed: Kosubosu or Cotonou! Nothing else is accepted by the local TSC team in Benin. Of course you can play the role of "good cop", because in the end everything really depends only on "bad cop" (TSC Benin).

One last important suggestion... it's a good idea for your character to leave home for a short time. Sir Godwin doesn't have to call Lenny anymore, because there's a (small) chance he'll understand he's talking to a robot. At this point, Lenny is no longer useful in your story. Not even Lilly! You can keep the "Aunt Lilly" option for those unhappy moments AFTER delivery. Surely Sir Godwin will want to talk to you when everything falls apart and then "dear aunt Lilly" will be happy to talk to the scammer.

Birlic, thank you so much for your valuable advice and suggestions. It is very helpful. I would like very much not to be "reachable" over the phone, but Sir Godwin wants very much to do his business over the phone. If he does not have Lilly's number "where he can reach me", he will push and push to get my private number - and I don't have a number to give him The good thing is that he does not want to spend so much money on the calls, so he makes them very short (only about 30 seconds). His goal is to make me phone him, so I shall pay for the call I (Mr. John) has just sent this email to Sir Godwin. I like to mention the value of the package from time to time in my emails, just to make him excited: 11:30:My dear friend Mr. Godwin, Thank you for your email. Thank you, I am doing very well and the service yesterday was wonderful. In fact, we had two services at our church yesterday. I am glad you sent me the info about Winners Chapel in London, because I am traveling to London myself today. Maybe I will have the chance to worship with them tomorrow. That would be amazing. I will take the train to London in about one hour. The trip takes almost 4 hours. Just as last time I will stay with my aunt Lilly. You can leave a message with her in case there is anything urgent. Her number is +44 20............ Otherwise I will try to read my emails as often as possible. I have told sister Maya to tell the shipping company to do everything very discreetly; especially because you indirectly are a part of the delivery (although it is your secretary who is the receiver) and also because the value of the parcel is high (about $8,000) I trust and pray that everything will go smoothly with the delivery of the package. Best regards, Mr. John

In general, when you get to this advanced stage of the story, it doesn't matter what the scammer wants because you have to impose the rules.
He has to comply if he wants to get his hands on the money. I wouldn't have risked Aunt Lilly now, but let's hope he doesn't understand anything.
Regarding TSC, their policy is clear: All communications are made only by email. You know the scenario.
The warehouse address is in Parakou. Look at the map and choose an adjacent area, with references to some valid points of interest that you find on Google.

Dear Good and Reliable Friend John
Thanks for your email and content noted. There are no problems. I am wishing for safe trip to London. Do make out your time to worship in any of the branches in London Tomorrow. I will be the happiest man to hear that from you.
There is no problem. We are waiting for Sister Maya to get the Telephone No of the shipping company and forward to me immediately. And the arrangement is almost concluded for Tuesday next week
Happy Easter. Try to communicate with me when you get to London

Sister Maya has just sent this email to Sir Godwin:
14:50:
Dear brother Godwin
Thank you for your fast reply and for the ID of the receiver. I will forward it to customer care unit of TSC as soon as I have collected the remaining info from you or your secretary,
Unfortunately, I cannot ask TSC again if it is possible to make the delivery in Igorlo instead of Kosubosu (or Cotonou in Benin Republic) since TSC already said in the email they sent me this morning that this is not possible.
TSC is not operating in Nigeria at the moment and the delivery option in Kosubosu (Nigeria) is only possible because brother John is willing to pay the driver an extra fee for this service. I sincerely hope that your secretary will accept one of these delivery options because I know that brother John will be very disappointed if he will not. He wants very much that you receive the package, he trusts you very much and considers you to be a good friend.
Before I contact TSC again I need to get this information from you as soon as possible. I will then forward them to TSC:
- Place of delivery (Kosubosu in Nigeria or Cotonou in Benin Republic) - Date and time when your secretary is expecting to be at the place of delivery - Email address of the receiver (your secretary), so the driver Mr. Aza can communicate with him. - An estimate of the receivers out of the pocket expenses (for travel, petrol, hotel etc) that he has had because TSC has failed to deliver the package in Lagos. This so that TSC can calculate how much they shall refund your secretary.
TSC does not have any office in Cotonou but only a storage house in Parakou. The package that brother John has sent to you is stored there. The storage house is located in the Bakinkoura area, adjacent to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, between Marché ARZEKE and Hôtel Les Routieres, Parakou, Benin. Nevertheless, I do not think this is relevant, because the delivery will not take place in Parakou.
Kosobosu I am told is a small peaceful Nigerian town close to the Benin border. It will take less than 3 hours for the driver to transport the package from Parakou in Benin to Kosubosu in Nigeria. Mr. Aza knows the area very well and he has done this trip countless times before.
When I have received all the info from you that I need, I will forward them to TSC and also ask them for the necessary contact information that you need. When I communicate with TSC, I always do this by email. That is also the way TSC operates. They are always fast to reply. The email I sent them late yesterday evening they had already answered when I woke up this morning.
I am now going to visit my mother in-law, who is not doing so well. She got Covid19 a few weeks ago and has been hospitalised for about 10 days. She came back home yesterday, but she is still very weak and needs our support.
I hope and pray that everything will fall in place so the delivery of the package can take place on Tuesday.
Be blessed Maya

Your bait is coming along wonderfully!
Part of what Birlic is saying is that YOU are in control of the bait. Whenever you think that a scammer must be able to talk on the phone (or any other must), remember that this is all a fantasy in which you control everything little thing that goes on in it.

Post by Macs on Apr 3, 2021 17:14:31 GMT
JustCold, you and Birlic are absolutly right. It is important to be in full control of the bait, otherwise it is not fun anymore. However, the story behind this scammer is, that I have been phoning him for more than a year to discuss business deals etc. etc. He has witness countless times that a famous barrister from Ghana has got the money, that I should have sent to Sir Gorwin. Sir Godwin has continuously over the last year asked for my phone number, but I have ignored him because I didn't have any scam-phone-nuber. He has also countless times asked for my email, but I have also ignored this, simply because I didn't have any baiting email accounts. That I got in January this year, but he has got so used to speaking to me, that it is this way he wants to do business with me I will of course completely reject the possibility that he can get any TSC phone number, using the reasons that Birlic has mentioned + maybe a few more. I will also wait as long as possible (but not longer than that) to tell him the google email addresses of TSC. I want to settle so many other issues as possible first and make him to hooked as possible in the story

It seems that Sir Godwin has bought into the Kosubosu delivery option Hr is still begging for phone numbers, but this will of course not get Sir Godwin wrote this email to sister Maya earlier this afternoon: 15:10:Dear Sister Maya Thanks for your mail. Content noted. I sent you an email asking for the Telephone of the TSC. It is very important you give me the telephone of the storage the person going with the receiver can speaks french smaii. As such we want to be in communication with them before their arrival non Tuesday
Secondly, tell them to give you the telephone of Mr. Aza You know I did not know much about their currency, What ever the feel that the can afford to give the receiver and the person he will come with for their transport will be highly appreciated.
The will live Tuesday Morning and hopefully before 12noon the will try to locate the Kosobosu
Here is the email of the receiver (pr.................@yahoo.com) Tell Mr Aza to write to him before Tuesday morning.
Hope you will get me the telephone of the TSC Storage company. As well as the Telephone of Mr Aza
Waiting for your reply

I have not had time the last hours to take care of my dear scammer. To "keep him warm" sister Maya has just sent him this email:
16:08:
Dear brother Godwin
Happy Easter Day to you and your family!
I have forwarded the information you have given me to TSC and asked them to get back to you as soon as possible.
I am very sorry I could not do this yesterday, because I spent the whole afternoon and evening with my mother-in-law. And of course this morning my family and I have been to church. I didn't see brother John to the church service this morning, but I trust and pray that he is fine.
Be blessed

When you go to google maps and you will look for kosubusu nigeria you will see in the left panel, when you scroll down, some pictures. Also when you zoom in to the town, you can click on 'central mosque' and that will also show you pictures in the left panel. It looks like a good meeting place. Or the Holy order of cherubim and seraphim movement church. It has a recognizable sign at the side of the road. Google maps is a good start to find recognizable meeting places

Linoline, yes exactly. That is also where I have found the few pictures I have got from Kosubosu === TSC has now for the first time sent an email to Sir Godwin and his secretary. Till now all the communication has gone through the sender, sister Maya. Mr. Aza (TSC's driver) and sister Maya are on cc). 21:27:Dear Sirs Thank you for the info concerning the delivery of parcel 3s............ that we have received from you via the sender, Mrs. Maya .......... We are pleased that it has been possible to find this good solution given the challenging situation. As you know TSC does not have a license to operate in Nigeria. To avoid any misunderstanding, I shall hereby confirm that the delivery of parcel 3s.............. will take place in the Nigerian town Kosubosu, Tuesday 6 April, hopefully before 12:00.
The driver in charge will be Mr. Aza, who is an experienced and reliable driver that has worked for us for about 6 years. He will leave Parakou with the parcel when you are approaching Kosubosu. Kindly send Mr. Aza an email from time to time, in order to keep him updated on how far Mr. Ibe has come on his journey to Kosubosu. When Mr. Ib....... [Godwin's secretary, who in fact is Sir Godwin himself] has arrived in Kosubosu, we will kindly ask him to take a photo of himself in front of the banner that shows the weekly activities at The Holy Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church in Kosubosu. The picture shall then be sent to the driver’s email account. This will help the driver to identify the rightful receiver and secure a safe delivery of the parcel. When Mr. Aza has received the photo he will cross the border and drive directly to Kosubosu. The delivery will take place with the The Holy Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church. Since we have not received an estimate of receivers out of pocket expenses of the journey, we have estimated them to $500. In addition, we give a special compensation of 50%. The total amount that we have calculated is therefore $750. You will receive the money in USD when the driver arrives in Kosubosu. If your expenses have been higher than $500, the remaining amount (including the 50% compensation) will be paid by TSC afterwards with a bank transfer directly to the receiver. We will kindly ask you to keep all receipts for your expenses, take a photo of them and send them by email to Mr. Aza. We will need them for our bookkeeping.
I have cc’d Mr. Aza on this email. He does not speak and understand English, but he is able to understand the content of the email by the use of google translate. You are also welcome at any time to contact Mr. Aza by email in order to ensure a smooth delivery of the parcel. Unfortunately, Mr. Aza cannot for obvious reasons be reached by phone. We at TSC will do everything that is in our power to make the delivery of the parcel so safe, smooth and fast as possible. Our concept is to communicate with our customers by email only and to reply fast to any inquiries. Please feel free to contact us at any time (24/7) via our customer email account. We are wishing you a pleasant journey on Tuesday! TSC Our Team, a 5 Star Team! Oliver

I HAVE MADE SEVERAL SUCH DELIVERIES IN KOSUBOSU BEFORE AND IT IS VERY SAFE. NEVER BEEN ANY PROBLEMS. NORMALEMEENT I EXPECT A TIP FROM THE RECEIVER FOR MY TRANSPORT SERVICE BUT THE SENDER HAS ACCEPTED TO PAY ME WELL SO MY SERVICE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY FREE FOR YOU. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME AT ANY TIME. I READ MY EMAILS OFTEN. GREETINGS AZA

Before TSC sent the emails above to Sir Godwin and his secretary, he had sent these emails to Mr. John and sister Maya. His main issue is still that he wants phone numbers. He is even talking about not letting his secretary fly to Lagos tomorrow (on Monday). I just cross my fingers that he will be satisfied with the emails he has got from Oliver and Aza from TSC. We just have to wait and see Sir Godwin has also phoned Mr. John's aunt Lilly this evening, because he wants to have a word with Mr. John. Mr. John always stays with aunt Lilly when he is in London. The call this evening is kind of a jubilee call - it is call no. 50 on STS' automated lines The email to sister Maya: 20:38:Dear Sister Maya
Happy Easter Sunday.
Thanks so much for your mail and up date.My good Friend Brother John went to London to see her sister Lilly. He went yesterday. [In the email I sent on behalf of sister Maya earlier today, I purposely said that brother John was not at the church service this morning. I told Godwin yesterday that I would travel to London - and now he can tell sister Maya (who also is me ) about this]And handed everything to you to make sure there is no failure or disappointment from the TSC /DRIVERS. Note if we did not receive the telephone line of Mr. Aza, And Mr peter TSC Ltd with Our Team, a 5 Star Team! first thing tomorrow morning. My secretary will not board a flight to Lagos tomorrow for Tuesday's meeting point. I sent this mail requesting for this vital information. It has cost me money to hire somebody that speaks french language so that he will be able to talk to TSC and the driver. Till this moment no message from them. You have given them every information to contact me. I have to be sincere to you. I have not received a message from TSC or the driver. Officially tell them that if we get to the Kosubosu (Nigeria) we will wait for him. And alternatively if he is there before us. He should wait for us we will meet him up. Where we are coming from is very far compare to him. I feel i will call Mr John and tell him what is going on the TSC storage company The earlier i get all i needed will help my secretary to fly in to Lagos tomorrow for the meeting on Tuesday I want the direct telephone of Director or secretary of TSC, The telephone line of the driver Mr Aza very urgent Standby waiting Mr Godwin Emefiele=== The email to Mr. John: 20:49: Dear Mr Mark Williams Happy Easter celebration in London with your Sister Lilly.I sent an email to Sister Maya Yesterday, Although she told me she is going to see the Mother inlaw that was sick. But good thing i got her email this night. All the information she requested from me and my secretary has been forwarded to her to pass to TSC, Could you imagine till this night. The telephone line of the director of TSC Or the Driver the refused to send to me Could you imagine we have hired somebody that speaks french to assist us speaks to the driver of the director of TSC or secretary. If i did not get all the needed from them. My secretary will not fly in to Lagos tomorrow for the meeting on Tuesday Please call Sister Maya to advise as soon as possible to give me all I want. We have fulfilled our own part waiting for them. You know this Franco phone country is very wicked. I have to be sincere to you. If you do not speak there ;langue you are in trouble. This is what i am trying to avoid Mr Godwin Emefiele

I just cross my fingers that he will be satisfied with the emails he has got from Oliver and Aza from TSC. We just have to wait and see ... Of course, John has no power over this, and the TSC rules are clear and cannot be violated. Due to past misunderstandings, when certain customers claimed financial compensation due to promises made over the phone by TSC employees. All the customer-employee conversations are only by email and all the messages are kept in the company's electronic archive for possible future complaints. Sir Godwin may or may not accept, but this things will not change. It is also a good opportunity to remind them of the deadline for taking over the package. He will be happy.

Sir Godwin woke up early this morning and after reading the emails from TSC and the driver Mr. Aza, he is still not happy. He writes this email to the shipping company: 06:12:Dear TSC
Thanks for your email concerning the delivery of the parcel tomorrow. Please what do you mean that the Receiver will take a picture at the banner in front of
The Holy Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church. That idea is not acceptable. What will he use to take the picture. He is not coming with a laptop. Tell your driver if we get there before him. We will wait.
But if he arrives before us he has to wait. That was why we need the telephone of MR AZA, VERY IMPORTANT
Does it ,Mean TSC has no telephone contact???
And the driver has no telephone???
I must receive the telephone Nos and give it to the Brother who speaks french to discuss with you people first and the driver today before the receiver will fly in to Lagos today.
This is very important that I must have the telephone lins of TSC. And Mr AZA THE DRIVER.
This has to be send to me immediately to avoid misunderstanding right
Mr Godwin Emefiele
=== And this email the receiver (who in reality is Sir Godwin himself) sent to the driver, Mr. Aza, four minutes later: 06:16:DEAR MR AZA
THANKS FOR YOUR MAIL. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT YOU GIVE YOUR TELEPHONE NO. WE WANT TO DISCUSS WITH YOU. WE HAVE HIRED A BROTHER THAT SPEAKS FRIEND TO TALK TO YOU TODAY
IB.......... CH............. OB......... THE RECEIVER
=== Oliver from TSC unfortunately slept a bit long this morning ... but he replied to Sir Godwin with this email (Thank you to Birlic for the valuable advice in the post above ... I have used them in my reply)11:18:Dear Sir Thank you for your email. Our suggestion is that the receiver takes the photo of himself in front of the banner with his mobile phone and then sends it to Mr. Aza using the email app on the phone. Only after Mr. Aza has got this confirmation photo he will cross the border and hand you the package. If Mr. Aza is close to the border when you arrive in Kosubosu, it will only take him a few minutes to cross the border and drive to Kosubosu. Mr. Aza is always making deliveries in Kosubosu with the he Holy Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church. We strongly suggest that this delivery also takes place there and do not see any reason to choose another delivery place. TSC as many other companies nowadays only doing its business online and all communication is done via email only. Unfortunately, we cannot violate or compromise this policy since in the past certain customers claimed financial compensation due to promises made over the phone by TSC employees. All the customer-employee conversations are only by email and all the messages are kept in the company’s electronic archive for possible future complaints. We at TSC can assure you that we will do everything possible to make this delivery successful. This we have already done several times before for the sender, Ma........... El.......... Ha........... Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have further questions. TSC Ltd Our Team, a 5 Star Team! Oliver === Mr. Oliver from TSC just realises that he has forgot to cc Mr. Aza on the email he just had sent Sir Godwin and the receiver. He therefore forwards the email above to Mr. Aza (with Godwin and the receiver on cc) with this short text: 11:37:Dear Mr. Aza, I just realized that I had not cc'd you in the email I just sent Mr. Ib.... and Mr. Godwin. Thank you for your faithful service for TSC. Oliver

Mr. John has just sent Sir Godwin this short and friendly email ... just to show that he is still "alive" Nothing mentioned about TSC, missing phone numbers, Kosubosu, etc. etc In the email I also tell him that aunt Lilly has told me that Sir Godwin tried to reach me on her phone. This is of course to make him believe that he is talking to a real person 12:08:Dear friend Mr. Godwin, Thank you for the greetings you sent me yesterday evening. I have had a very good Easter celebration and I hope and trust that you and your loved once have also had that. My plan was to go to the Easter service at Winner Chapel yesterday since I have never been there before but then an old friend invited me to the church where he and his family are attending. After the service he invited me for dinner at his house. Since it became quite late and my friend lives very far from aunt Lilly’s place I ended up sleeping at my friend’s house last night. I am still at my friend’s house. We have just got a delicious traditional English breakfast from his wife. Aunt Lilly told me that you had phoned and left a message for me yesterday evening, but she said she could hardly hear you since the line was breaking. I could not phone you back because I do not like to phone when people are around. I do not want anyone to know about the funds I am going to receive, even sister Maya knows absolutely nothing. I have not been in contact with sister Maya for some days. I am not even sure that she knows that I am in London. I am very excited that in less than two days your secretary will have received the package I sent to you. If everything goes well by the grace of God, it should not be unrealistic that the funds can be on my bank account by the end of this week. My brother, when the transfer has been concluded I have on my heart to reward you in a special way, but this is something I want to discuss with you later. Please wish your secretary a safe and pleasant trip to and from the place where the delivery of the parcel shall take place. Best regards, Mr. John

I think Sir Godwin is already packing his luggage for the trip and I think he will be at the meeting tomorrow. The package arrived in Benin on March 29, so the pick-up deadline expires on April 12 (next Monday). It would be useful for the TSC manager to emphasize this aspect in the next message to the scammer: "I am glad that everything will be completed tomorrow so that we do not end up in the situation that next week we will be forced to start the procedures regarding the abandonment of the package. You know that the deadline for picking up the package is April 12 (14 days after storage in our headquarters) and I hope you know the legal provisions related to PAP (procedures for abandoning packages). I will send you a questionnaire that I will ask you to fill in and send back to me after you pick up your package and get back home. This is a "Customer Satisfaction" survey that we usually use to improve the quality of our services. Thank you for your cooperation and I hope you remain the customer of our company in the future!"

The driver Mr. Aza is trying to put some pressure on Sir Godwin. He has just sent him this email. If Sir Godwin is not confirming his arrival in Kosubosu very soon, there very likely will be problem 12:44:BONJOUR! BROTHERS YOU DO NOT NEED TO WORRY AT ALL. I HAVE HANDED MORE THAN 100 PACKAGES IN KOSUBOSU TO SATISFIED CUSTOMERS AND I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES. I HAVE RESERVED MY DAY TOMORROW TO SERVE YOU BUT IT IF YOU ARE NOT COMING IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU TELL ME NOW. MY SISTER IN LAW WHO LIVES IN DJOUGOU IS CELEBRATING HER BIRTHDAY THIS EVENING AND IF YOU ARE NOT COMING TOMORROW MY WIFE AND I ARE GOING TO DJOUGOU AND STAY THERE OVER THE NIGHT. Sir Godwin is still very difficult to deal with. He has just sent this email to TSC:
14:39:
Dear TSC TEAM/ DRIVER MR AZA
Be officially informed that we must have the telephone No of your Driver Mr AZA, And telephone of the AZA storage company.
This two information will facilitate the delivery arrangement tomorrow.
Whereby you fail to provide me with the telephone. I will cancel the meeting.
All you required from the Receiver had been forwarded to you people through Sister Maya. Why are you people hiding your telephone. Something is wrong somewhere. If i did not it in the next one hour. I will officially write to Sister Maya about my complaint.
Mr Godwin Emefiele
===
The receiver Mr. Ib..... (who is fact is Sir Godwin himself) writes this email IN FRENCH to the driver:
14:44:
Cher Monsieur AZA
Merci pour ton mail. Nous viendrons . Mais tu dois me donner ton téléphone Non. Mon ami qui parle très bien français veut t'appeler pour plus d'informations sur notre venue demain. \
Ceci est très important, je veux recevoir le téléphone et nous vous appellerons avec la langue française que vous pouvez comprendre.

Oliver from TSC has just replied with this email. I am afraid that Sir Godwin is about to back out ... he is becoming scared 15:10:Dear Sir Thank you for your email. As employees of TSC we have to comply with the protocols of the company. If you cannot accept our way of operating and our delivery conditions as we have explained them to you, we will have to cancel the planned delivery in Kosubosu. If we have not got an email from you before 16:00 (your time) today, we allow us to take this as a formal cancellation from your side. TSC will then not do anything more with the package and leave it up to the sender if the package shall be destroyed or handed over to an alternative receiver that is willing to pick it up at our storehouse in Parakou. TSC Ltd Our Team, a 5 Star Team! Oliver
