Short version - I have a debit card, some fluff, I need to pay a mandatory delivery fee to get it, some more fluff, It is urgent.
The scammer probably assumes their victim has recently requested for a debit card....oddly specific.
It is worth noting that this scammer doesn't seem to be very enthusiastic about what he is doing, he replies slowly and baiting him isn't fun to be honest.
I don't expect this bait to last, and I really want to make him lose his cool. You can drop your ideas/suggestions on this below,
Note: His name is Robert. I don't think the scammer minds this, his mugu is interested and in need of further information
He is a Diplomatic agent that is from both the IMF and the UN council....makes sense. He sends a slightly modified version of the original message. I don't want pre-written emails
This scammer is either very "busy" or just stupid because he sends all his emails twice. Not because he is anxious, he sends the exact same email twice at the same time. I try to excite him with the idea of possibly doubling his loot.
All his emails scream ESL, His English is not like that of any English-speaking West African country. He doesn't seem to understand most of what I type. Perhaps, he isn't paying attention.
I asked the scammer if he would like to scam me of more money
He definitely isn't paying any attention as he doesn't answer my question or give me a specific amount to pay. He doesn't even tell me how much is in the debit card. His preferred method of payment is the scammer's favorite currency - Gift cards
Of course, I do not know what a gift card is
The way this is indented shows, this scammer is typing from a mobile phone. Is he really suggesting that gift cards are legal tender/a way of sending money???
I replied him with an ok.
If he doesn't reply in 3 days, I'll probably send another email, then tell him I have sent the gift card to his business partner. Maybe the thought of him losing money to another scammer might drive him crazy enough or I could send the picture of a gift card with the code scratched off
