I received your e-mail and the Embassy appreciates your prompt response in view of the e-mail sent to you earlier. It is so sad hearing of your loss to scammers in the sum of up to lot's of thousand dollars. Please be informed that the United States government under President Joe Biden is committed to fighting cyber crimes, it is noted that several Citizens of the world have been found victims of these fraudulent activities.

In order to maintain the international relationship between United State and Benin-Republic, the president of Benin-Republic Dr. (REDACTED) has signed an agreement under the watch of United Nations, to compensate all the victims of fraud and specially apologize to them for the stress they went through in the name of the country and West Africa at large.

Once you receive the ATM CARD, you will be given the PIN CODE to enable you to go to any nearby ATM MACHINE and start pulling your fund till you receive all of it.
2. Bank wire transfer: Your fund will be transferred to you through a reputable Bank in the Country. You will be given your online banking information to enable you to make the transfer yourself to your personal bank account.
3. Certified Bank Draft: A cheque will be mailed to you via DHL courier company and the tracking numbers will be given to you to enable you monitor the shipment till it arrives at your house.

Upon the receipt of this e-mail, you are instructed to indicate how you prefer to receive your total $6.5MUSD and get back to us as soon as possible. You are also instructed to re-confirm your current residential address and phone number together with the demanded information from the first e-mail in order to expedite the processing of your total fund without delays.

**They mailed back the section of the long email that had to do with the payment details. At this point, I lost interest in the bait. This scammer is really lazy and uninteresting. I plan to send them to the MG bot and call it a day.

They are much lazier than those in Nigeria and they want only a small but very quick profit.

The receiver has called the Automated number several times but couldn't get the reference number. Each time it gets to the point of issuing the reference numbers, the call gets noisy and blurr.

Only the receiver can have the reference number. I called the moneygram office, they checked their records and said the receiver didn't get my name right. Does he have an accent?

Note that my name is pronounced as (ALTERNATE PRONUNCIATION 1 REDACTED), not (ALTERNATE PRONUNCIATION 1 REDACTED). It is a common error really. Tell the receiver to check the internet for the right pronunciation.

I just got off the phone with the moneygram customer service, and they said they are aware that the numbers get noisy and blur when it's time to call them. They have an issue with their calling system because their servers are overloaded. Apologies about that.

They just sent a security form to my mail that the receiver needs to fill (in writing). Tell them to fill it asap so I can take it to the store and send the MTCN this afternoon.
Hurry, it's about to rain. I wouldn't want to make you wait till Monday to receive this code.

Maybe, Ayodeji works with the scammers on another scam for Marius involving a large amount (maybe a safari-inducing parcel), he makes the scammer do all the work/documentations. then the package would be sent to them in Benin, and we all know how it would eventually end up in Ghana. An alternative is to send money to Ayodeji in Nigeria, which he would refuse to share with them.

Very useful. As a matter of fact, I copied the messages with translations to a file that I can use for reference if I want to play a scammer again in the future.
Like creepthecreepers said, I understand most of it when it's written. One of my characters ran in to a Nigerian once who taught me a bit (not a scammer, not in contact anymore) I listen to some Nigerian artists and pick up bits from there as well, but it's hard to catch the complete meaning. If there was some sort of online course I'd follow it.

I started sending you mails to note the error but for some reasons known to you, all my mails were deleted. You couldn't see them and it became a huge problem between us. When I noticed that, I started sending multiple messages hoping you would see any of them but you returned my mail saying you couldn't see the content of my messages.
