TSC's driver, Mr. Aza is happy, he has just sent this short email to Sir Godwin & Co.:
13:54:
BONJOUR MESSIEURS! I AM IN TANGUIETA WITH A PACKAGE, BUT I WILL BE READY EARLY TOMORROW TO BRING YOUR THE PACKAGE TO KOSUBOSU. JUST EMAIL ME AT ANY TIME IF THERE IS ANYTHING. SALUT AZA

I noticed that the scammers really appreciate the messages they receive from the driver, on the day of delivery. - It would be useful as mr. Aza to send some messages tomorrow morning, at different time intervals, in which to "confirm" his exact position at that moment. - Sir Godwin will probably look at the map and "see" that the package is approaching the meeting place and will become more relaxed and confident that everything will end well. - Theoretically, the Parakou-Kosubosu route has 90 km (so 2-3 hours of driving), but the driver will stop in the city of Niassi and will wait there for confirmation that the "beneficiary" is close to the meeting place. - Only after Sir Godwin's assistant sends the picture (which confirms that he has arrived at the meeting place) will the driver cross the border. It is a necessary precaution due to the fact that everything must end quickly and discreetly (it is known that TSC is not allowed to deliver on Nigerian territory). - the driver Aza will probably have problems at the Kosubosu border (with the police officers there) and will not be able to cross into Nigeria... so he will head north to the crossing point in Chikanda. Compared to Kosubosu, Chikanda is only 50 km away... so Sir Godwin should agree to go there. Basically, I doubt he will find a means of transportation in time. - Through Benin, the Kosubosu-Chikanda route has 100 km and of course mr. Aza will have other technical problems with his van. Some goats?
The idea is for the scammer to stay there overnight.

It's nice to see Mr. Godwin finally accepting to take that road trip up north to Kosubusu. Despite the town having no means of hospitality, as the nearest hotel is an hour away, Mr. Godwin will surely enjoy the sightseeing.

For the sake of good order, the customer service of TSC has also confirmed the agreement about a delivery in Kosubosu tomorrow The only one that does not know anything about that there has been found a solution on how to deliver the package to Sir Godwin is Mr. John (the real sender of the package). Sister Maya wants it so be a surprise Mr. John is depressed and he is thinking about the email he got from Sir Godwin this morning where Sir Godwin is listing all the problems Mr. John will end up with if he’s not complying with Sir Godwin’s requirements. In short, Mr. John will get serious issues with United Nations, Worlds Bank Auditors, IMF and the Financial Action Task Force etc, etc. Mr. John is considering to forward the email from Sir Godwin to his old friend (and famous chopper) from Ghana, barrister Ko..... Me...... Mr. John is considering to offer barrister Ko........ Me...... the package that was intended for Sir Godwin in exchange for his legal help We will see how it goes === 16:02:Dear all, On behalf of TSC, I shall hereby confirm the agreed delivery of parcel no. 3S9........ in Kosubosu tomorrow. Expected time for delivery 10 am, latest 11 am. Kindly keep our driver, Mr. Aza, updated from time to time, on how far you have come on your journey to Kosubosu. He will be reading his emails regularly. The delivery will take place with The Holy Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church. Mr. Aza will give you the compensation of $750 that we have calculated. In this connection, we will kindly ask you to keep all receipts for your expenses, take a photo of them and send them by email to Mr. Aza. We will need them for our bookkeeping.
If your expenses have been higher than what we have calculated, the remaining amount (including the 50% compensation) will be paid by TSC afterwards with a bank transfer directly to the receiver. We at TSC will do everything that is in our power to make the delivery of the parcel as safe, smooth and fast as possible. Our concept is to communicate with our customers by email only and to reply fast to any inquiries. Please feel free to contact us at any time (24/7) via our customer email account. Mr. John, not knowing anything about the agreement of a delivery in Kosubosu tomorrow, has just sent this email to his old "friend" in Ghana, every scammer's worst enemy, the master-chopper, barrister Ko...... Me......... Now we suddenly have two receivers to the parcel: Sir Godwin and Sir Godwin’s worst enemy, who in the past has run away with huge amounts that should have ended in Sir Godwin’s pockets 16:41:My dear friend Mr. Kof, How are you doing and how is your dear wife Clara doing? I hope everything is going well for you all. I am very sorry that you have not heard anything from me for many months. I know you have been trying to contact me several times, but I have lately been very busy with different property projects. Mr. Kof, the reason I am writing to you know is that I need your legal help. As you know, I have been discussing a big transaction with Sir Godwin Emefiele, who is the Governor for the Central Bank of Nigeria. I sent Sir Godwin a package about 2 weeks ago, wherein there is a MacBook Pro laptop, an Iphone 12 and an Apple Watch. Everything brand new. In addition, I have hidden $4,500 in the package. The money it meant for covering some costs of the transaction we are working on. Unfortunately, the shipping company I have used has not been possible to deliver the package to Sir Godwin’s address in Nigeria, and now the package has stranded in Parakou, Benin Republic. Since Sir Godwin does not have my money yet, he has paid some of my expenses out of his own pocket and now he is threatening me with different legal consequences that I cannot really comprehend. You can see the email I got from him below. Since you are the only lawyer that I know in Africa, I would be very glad if you and your office could defend my case and give me legal advice. As an initial payment for your help, I want to give you the package that Godwin originally should have. The total value of the package is about £8,000. You can just contact the company, TSC Ltd, and tell them that I have allowed you to become the new receiver of the package. Then you can arrange with them how to get the package. I am looking very much forward to working with you again. Best regards, Mr. John

=== The driver, Mr. Aza replies back a few minutes later: 18:12:BONJOUR MESSIEURS! I AM BACK IN PARAKOU. VERY LONG DAY AND MANY HOURS ON THE ROAD. VERYTIRED. TSC TOO STRICT WITH USE OF TELEPHONES. I DONT LIKE. ALWAYS WRITE,WRITE, WRITE. BUT SALARY GOOD AND I DONT WANT LOSE JOB. THEY CHECKTELEPHONE RECORDS. PLEASE RESPECT MY FRIENDS. DONT WORRY. GOING TO SLEEP NOW READY TOMORROW. I am afraid there is problem. Sir Godwin has made two calls on aunt Lilly’s line this evening and both calls lasted longer than normal. An other guy was talking when the next call was made. I am afraid they have found out that they are not speaking to a real person

All you have to think about is the fun that Sir Godwin offered us and his immense frustration. It would have been ideal to keep Aunt Lilly for the post-delivery period, but not all is lost. You have to stick to the story and not change the data.

Scamland is a difficult country to live in. Things changes from bad to good, from good to bad .... and again from bad to good in no time Here is the latest news from Sir Godwin 18:11:Dear Sister Maya/ TSC/ Mr Aza
We have found out that it takes 10 hrs . 30 minutes from Nigeria to Kosubosu .
And from cotonou to Kosubosu 7 hrs 35 minutes.
It is not possible please.
TSC if you people are not ready to make the delivery inside continuo town or SEME BORDER, It is better we forget it
There is no way my people will be to Kosubosu. It is a very interior village miles away from Contonu.
For the interest of both parties. Tell Mr AZA to meet him in Cotonou town or SEME BORDER
Period
Mr Godwin Emefiele=== TSC is of course up to this and confirmes: 19:30:Dear all, There is no problem in changing the delivery place from Kosubosu (Nigeria) to Cotonou (Benin Republic). In fact, most of our Nigerian customers choose this solution. It is our experience that it is easy to cross the borders between the two countries. However, it will not be possible for Mr. Azagba to arrive in Cotonou at 11:00 am since he has to drive all the way from Parakou. It takes Mr. Aza about 6 hours to get to Cotonou. Our normal delivery time in Cotonou is at 14:30 pm. at Hotel 241Sem.
The refund of $750 is unchanged, but please remember to keep all receipts for your expenses, take a photo of them and send them by email to Mr. Aza. We will need them for our bookkeeping. Mr. Aza, can you please confirm with an email to us all that you have noticed the changes. TSC Ltd Our Team, a 5 Star Team! Oliver === And Mr. Aza is of course also ready. He sends this short confirmation email to all: 19:41:BONSOIR! NOPROBLEM AT ALL! SEE YOU TOMORROW IN COTONOU WITH HOTEL 241. GOOD NIGHT. AZAGBA

You are right chainey44 Sir Godwin has now in total made 30 calls to Mr. John's father (Lenny), 16 calls to Mr. John's aunt (Lilly) and 10 calls to the MoneyGram line... That is 56 calls in total ( maybe it is a record, is it?). Sooner or later he has to find out. What I don't like so much is that an other guy (Sir Godwin's scammer-friend) now is on the line also. I cross my fingers that Sir Godwin and his friend will go early to bed so that they are fresh for the trip to Cotonou (Benin) tomorrow

It would be so sweet to see this end in a safari of course, but what a result to get that many calls. So much time and phone credit wasted. If nothing else, he's going to look a little foolish to the friends he is bringing into your story trying to understand Lenny/Lilly etc!

We are all curious to know how Mr. Aza's journey goes ... we have heard that the Parakou-Cotonou route is quite dangerous for the shipping company's cars. There are some rumors about hordes of goats crossing the roads chaotically.

Barrister Kof from Ghana has been busy the whole day of yesterday, but in the evening he writes this email back to his old friend Mr. John. The email from Barrister Kof opens up for the possibility of a later conflict on who is the rightful owner of the package: Sir. Godwin (the real scammer) or Barrister Kof (a fake scammer, that I (Mr. John) controls) Yesterday 20:38:My very good friend Mr. John!!! Wow!! I am glad to hear from you again after a long long time. Thanks, both my wife and I are doing fine. I have read the email from Sir Godwin and it seems to be a very serious case. My chamber is used to deal with cases like this and I am more than willing to help you my dear friend. My friend can you send an email to TSC and ask them to the receiver’s name to my name. Then I will go personally to pick it up? Kof === Change of plans - again And of course he brings the telephone issue up again
Late yesterday evening Sir Godwin again changes his plans. Now he can not travel to Cotonou on Thursday as already agreed, but he wants to travel on Friday instead. He sends this email to all involved parties (but of course not to Mr. John, who is not involved at the moment): Yesterday 21:04:Dear TSC /MR AZA
Thanks for your email . content noted and accepted. It is not possible to come tomorrow because of the distance from Nigeria to cotonou. From your storage office to the hotel in Benin takes 6hrs. So every appointment should be by Friday. We can not wait for 14,30 pm which is almost 2.30 pm to come back to Nigeria.
We request telephone NO of the Driver Mr Aza so that it will be easy to communicate with him on our way coming .
At this point Drivers telephone is highly important he is coming with somebody that speaks french language to avoid misunderstanding
We look forward for MR AZA TELEPHONE NO
Mr Godwin
=== Oliver from TSC sends this reply back to Sir Godwin one hour later: 22:02:Dear Sir. Conted noted. We will get back to you tomorrow to arrange a new delivery appointment. Mr. Azabga is for sure sleeping now but he will read your email early tomorrow. Oliver === Mr. John (the mugu) does not like that Sir Godwin (and now also his scammer-friend) is making too many calls on the automated lines so close to a potential safari. There is a risk that the scammers find out that they are not talking to a real person when they phone Lenny and Lilly. Mr. John therefore makes himself sick with high blood pressure and he is now resting at his oldest daughter’s place. Mr. John is now out of reach for Sir Godwin. Another purpose for Mr. John (the mugu) taking some distance from what is going on at the moment is to be able to say later on, that I (Mr. John) did not know anything about the planned delivery of the package to Sir Godwin, and therefore I had given the package to Barrister Kof. Mr. John sent this email to Sir Godwin late yesterday evening: Yesterday 22:38:My dear friend Mr. Godwin, My father told me that you had phoned and you are maybe wondering why I am not phoning you back. I measure my blood preasure every week and last time I measured it was much too high. The doctors have warned me in the past. I am now with my oldest daughter taking a few days of rest till my blood preasure has gone down. Best regards, Mr. John === Early in the morning Sir Godwin replies to his old friend Mr. John: 07:37:Dear Friend Mr. John How are you doing now. I hope you BP is going down much better. The cure for Blood Pressure is 100% bed rest. And it will come back to normal.
Stress is one of the things that trigger blood pressure.
Thanks very much for your email. Content noted. I have to give you a chance for now to recover very well so that we can talk the way forward.
I will expecting your mail ASPA
Take care of yourself

More from Sir Godwin this morning. He has just sent this email to the shipping company and the driver Mr. Aza. One min. later he also sends the same email in French, but I will not post it here: Again the issue is that he wants phone numbers 07:43:Dear TSC/Mr AzaWe received your brief mail. Content noted. We are set for Tomorrow Friday based on the fact that Mr Azagba the driver will be able to Release his Cellphone connected to his WhatsApp line so that the man i hired that speaks French fluently will be able to talk to him and it will be much easy for tomorrow as he is coming while we the receiver is on his way coming. They will be in constant telephone communication so that they will not miss each other when getting there. Very important. Please with due respect Sir. Tell Mr Aza to give his telephone No Thanks for your Understanding Mr Godwin Emefiele ===
Mr. Oliver from TSC has sent Sir. Godwin this reply:
09:23:
Dear Sir
With all respect, we have already addressed and explained the company’s policy and practice in communicating with our customers. We do this by email only and we will kindly ask you to respect this.
I have been in touch with Mr. Aza this morning and we have found a solution whereby Mr. Aza can be at Hotel 241Sem (address in Cotonou) at 11:30 am; latest 12:30 pm tomorrow.
All other details concerning the delivery are unchanged compared to the emails we sent to you yesterday.
For the sake of the planning of our operations tomorrow, please let us know before 13:00 pm today if the receiver will be able to be in Cotonou tomorrow to get the package.

- All you have to do is ignore any future reference to the "driver's phone number". The rules have been explained countless times, and the answer will not change even if Sir Godwin insists. - I also suggest that Mr. Kofi confirm the takeover of the package on Saturday. John will accept, of course. - Perhaps this will make Sir Godwin feel that he is missing the "opportunity" and persuade him to come to Benin on Friday. The TSC manager (Oliver) must provide some details about the proposed meeting place so that Sir Godwin feels comfortable: - Hotel 241 Seme is located immediately after the border, on the left side of the road: www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g12591758-d10518170-Reviews-Hotel_241-Seme_Oueme_Department.html- it is well signposted and has a parking lot in front, where the driver Aza can park the company's van very conveniently. - the hotel has free WiFi, so the communication will not be a problem. - A Friday delivery is very convenient because there are several other packages that must be brought to Cotonou.

Very good points Birlic ... Thank you! If only I had seen them before Oliver replied, I would have added your comments into Oliver's reply. I think your points are so good, that I am going to send Sir Godwin an other email with some more info about the hotel. === Oliver from TSC has just sent this additional email to Sir Godwin: 09:37:Dear Sir Only a few extra info about the place of delivery in Cotonou: - Hotel 241Sem is located immediately after the border, on the left side of the road: www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g12591758-d10518170-Reviews-Hotel_241-Seme_Oueme_Department.html- it is well signposted and has a parking lot in front, where the driver Mr. Aza can park the company's van very conveniently. - the hotel has free WiFi, so the communication will not be a problem. It is very simple: - Oliver will come back with another new message saying that is another Nigerian customer coming there on Friday (for another package) and that it would be very convenient for Sir Godwin to be present as well. - Oliver will tell Sir Godwin that that Nigerian customer chose Hotel241 Seme on the recommendation of TSC (because it is a regular delivery point). - Oliver will provide all the necessary details.
It would also be good for your characters (both Oliver and Aza) to be "already convinced" that the delivery will take place tomorrow and to talk about it as if everything is already established and there is no doubt that it will happen. Sir Godwin must understand that tomorrow is his last chance to get his hands on the money. Because otherwise, he will lose everything on Saturday (because Mr. Kofi will come to Benin and take over the package).

Sadly ... no safari with Mr. Godwin He could not accept not to be able to reach TSC over the phone, and now he has again got cold feets and sent this email to TSC, Mr. Aza and sister Maya (but not to Mr. John): 17:32:TSC/Mr Aza
Thanks very much for your mail . Content noted. We all are Africans, And there method or procedures in our country to operate in a company or Financial Institutions.
We can not change your protocols, And there is no way we will follow your delivery procedures. Officially we know what it takes. A shipping company of such TSC has no official telephone Nos . That is flimsy stories/excuses.
Please with due respect.I am canceling all the delivery arrangements with immediate effects from now. We are not coming to pick it up. Contact the sender to decide on what to do with her shipment. We decline not to receive it. TSC is not helping the matter. Sorry for time taking to contact us. TSC lacks credibility and integrity as a company. We can deal with .

No problem, fuck him and move on to another scammer. There are some idiots who will never travel, no matter how hard you try.
Sir Godwin strongly believes in your story, but he didn't have the courage to go on a journey.
You have to think he's very nervous now because he knows vey well he lost that money. For him, everything is real and very frustrating. Mr. Kofi must take the package and then tease Sir Godwin. He will be delighted.

Kofi Mensah is going to have one hell of a payday once Mr. Aza (who's delivery truck magically avoids all goats now that Mr. Godwin cancelled the trip) arrives to Cotonou with the package. Maybe Mr. Aza can get a cut of the money as well for his exceptional service. Mr. Aza might be a big Premier League/Ligue 1 fan and will spend his money at a night in Le Seven nightclub making bets with his bonus.

Just a very short update No safari (at least for now) with Mr. Godwin. I am quite sure that he believes in my character and in the existence of the package, but he is not confident with the shipping company (TSC). If he was, he would for sure travel to Benin. He always wants to communicate over the phone. That he has all the time wanted to do with me, and he also wants to do that with the other actors in the scam-game There has been a lot of emails sent forth and back yesterday evening and this morning between Mr. John, Barrister Kof in Ghana and TSC. Mr. John wants to replace Sir Godwin as the receiver of the package with Barrister Kof from Ghana. Now an email has just been sent to Mr. Godwin where TSC asks for his approval for this. Let’s see how it will go I don’t have much time right now to copy all the emails in here, but hopefully I can do that this evening.

Ohh, but everything is very simple. The true Owner of the package, UNTIL delivery, is the Sender. So only he can decide. Sir Godwin may be upset, but he cannot intervene in this process.
Of course, the TSC manager can say that "Sir Godwin, but your name still remained on our list, although lawyer Kofi was added. From our point of view, you have the same rights on the package. Delivery for Kofi's assistant is scheduled for tomorrow, 17.00 in Cotonou. If you arrive sooner, then you can pick up the package as long as the Sender (mr. John) has not ordered your name be removed from our records."

There is still a slight hope for Sir Godwin: 1) The sender (Mrs. Maya) has not yet responded to TSC and given her accept to change the receiver name. 2) If there is any disagreement between the sender and the current receiver, the customer servicer at TSC will hand the case over to the legal department to decide on. Maybe sister Maya and the legal department of TSC will give Sir Godwin a new deadline to pick up the package in Cotonou

I (Mr. John) have just had a long phone conversation with Sir Godwin. He still fully believes in the story and my character, and also that he is very close to getting a good amount of money from me. The first part of the conversation he used to tell me off because I had brought Barrister Kof from Ghana into the case. I just listened and enjoyed his frustrations. It really irritates him, that I (in exchange for some legal advice) have offered Barrister Kof the stranded package in Benin (value $8,000) that originally was meant for Sir Godwin. I am absolutely sure Sir Godwin would have travelled to Benin if only he had got the phone number of someone, who could pretend to be a driver for TSC in Benin. Anyway, Sir Godwin has just presented a new plan for me. He wants me to travel to Brussel as soon as possible and have £8,500 in cash with me (I am sure the amount will increase from now till my travel day). In Brussel I shall meet an Nigerian diplomat that shall receive the money from me and hand me all the documents. Then the same diplomat will come to my hotel the next day with £10M in a suitcase Anyone here that wants to join me on the trip to Brussel??? I think Sir Godwin’s idea sounds nice. I am up to it, but I have (so far) given Sir Godwin one condition for the trip to Brussel: He has to accept to transfer the stranded package in Benin in the name of Barrister Kof. This will one more time give Barrister Kof the chance to send Sir Godwin mocking emails and tell him how bad he is in doing business
