We give God all the glory, it was indeed a successful march today. We did all the best we could, and we were able to praise the name of our God and alerted people around our village that our new parish has just been flagged off. Today or tomorrow at the latest, the package 3S08022**** should arrive at the nearest branch to the delivery address. You will be contacted by our local manager for the delivery details. As you already know (I hope the Sender has informed you about this), the nigerian federal authorities in Abuja have temporarily suspended our operating license for absolutely ridiculous reasons (our lawyers claim that the real reasons are bribery and corruption). We are doing everything we can to solve the problem legally, but it will probably take some months.

We can offer delivery assistance in Accra (Ghana), in Niamey (Niger) or in Douala (Cameroon), with the direct settlement of all yours expenses (transport, accommodation, food etc.). Please let me know which of our 3 branches is closer and more suitable for you, Accra, Niamey or Douala? We sincerely regret the created situation and we want to offer 5 star services, so our local branch will ensure the full refund of all your costs plus an additional bonus of 50% of the total estimated expenses. If the package 3S08022**** is not delivered to the final designated delivery address, then it will amount to a gross breach of contract and breach of trust reposed in your company. I was NEVER pre-informed of this present situation at any time, neither by you nor the sender. I practically fulfilled every of my own side of the required obligations as the receiver of the parcel as you demanded, so I expect to receive the package as assured.

Unfortunately, I do not have any traveling documents to leave the shores of Nigeria and as such can not travel to any of the locations you mentioned. I will advise you to find any possible means to complete your delivery contract OR report back to the sender with this present situation. If you feel there is no final solution to the completion of the delivery of this package to its receiving point/Address, then you can send back the package to its origin.

I assure you that we understand perfectly this unpleasant and embarrassing situation and we will do everything to solve it. If you wish, we can use a "transfer of responsibility" (this is called the procedure by which the company hires a third company) and we can send the package from Accra to Lagos with DHL or FedEx or another company operating in Nigeria. The procedure is relatively simple, but it can be approved only by Sender (as the owner of the package).

So yes, we can do this if the Sender accepts this transfer of responsibility. Our company will pay the full cost of transport on the Accra-Lagos route, because it is our fault that we could not deliver to the address in the contract. We assume this regretable mistake and we will pay the transport bill to your address.

The procedure will probably take 2-3 days but is relatively simple:
- a joint commission is formed by: our local manager in Ghana + a representative of the new courier company (DHL, FedEx or another) + a customs officer.
- the package is opened and a complete inventory is made of all the goods inside.
- the inventory list is sent to Sender, for approval and confirmation,
- the Sender must accept and approve the inventory list component (to make sure that the products in the package are the ones that the Sender sent).
- the package is resealed and handed over to the new courier representative.
- he signs the document of receipt of the package and thus assumes the legal responsibility for the integrity of the package and the correct delivery.

After the package is picked up by the new company representative, our company discharges any legal responsibility related to the delivery of the package. I hope that you are satisfied now with the collaboration with us. I am waiting for the confirmation and acceptance of the Sender to order the start of this operation.

Please sister Dave, I want to officially inform you that an Agent of the Shipping Company contacted me and stated that the package you sent through them CANNOT be delivered directly to the designate receiving address as you contracted them to do. They have demanded that the receiver should travel to another Country away from Nigeria to receive the package, unfortunately, the receiver does NOT have any form of travelling documents to embark on such trip, and I do not have any travelling papers either, so this is absolutely impossible.

This is practically an act of irresponsibility and unprofessionalism on the side of the Shipping Company. I have asked them to ensure the final delivery of the consignment to the final destination/receiving address, OR send the package back to you. Please contact them urgently and solve this situation as soon as possible to avoid any problems with the goods/items/package.

I got the email below from the same TSC agent "Claude", and I am sure you got the same email as I see that you were copied also. I am sure you have gone through the listed procedure as stated therein. Honestly, this procedure would have been the best idea/option for this final delivery, but you can agree with me that there is trouble incubating in this process as regards the Cash Money you enclosed in the package. If for any reason the package is opened for inventory, they will find the money in the empty chocolate box as you said, and not only that the Money and the entire package shall be confiscated, but it will amount to money laundering and possible legal implications will be attracted, and the trouble begins from there.

Please sister Dave, I will humbly advise you to call that package BACK to you right away for safety/security sake. It will be better and more logical for you if you loose all the delivery and recalling expenses on the said package, than for a faithful servant of the Holy Lamb to face the scandal of money laundering. "God forbid it", such is not the label of the servants of the most high God. This is my holistic advise.

Please take a very wise and proactive decision on this matter as I know you are a very intelligent and a spiritual person. God be with you. I wait to hear from you soon.

I'm very sorry for the situation. Like I told you earlier, the local clerk told me that there are some issues in Nigeria but that they would solve it all and make sure you would get the package. I didn't understand all they explained and I was in a hurry to go to brother Gerry in the hospital so maybe I didn't pay proper attention to it. You are right. I would not want to get you and my self or any one else involved in any illegality.

This action suggested by the shipping agent, I mean, going to receive a package such high value parcel from the borders as an individual, not a certified shipping agent is going to be attributed to "Smuggling" and it is punishable by law.

Please call that package back to your country and make a fresh delivery plan without cash money enclosed. I live in Nigeria and I can tell you better how things work here. Corruption is on the high side here. This is a trap to swindle this package and all that is in it and put some one into trouble. And I will not be part of this arrangement.

Please try to be proactive about this sister Dave, and try to understand my point and position on this. As much as we need your support (the church), but we are not desperate, the money can come to us through the right channel (bank) any time. And we can receive the delivery any time too.

Please kindly reconsider your stand on this matter and call for the return of that package back to you in UK. The church can deduct the extra cost of this return from the cash money you intend sending to us, we can manage.

Of course, returning the package is not a solution, so maybe we will try to convince Samuel that TSC can bring the package to the "first big city" near the border... so that we can overcome the problem of those "5 or 6 Custom check points ". Sister Dave should ask TSC to take responsibility for the package and bring it to a big city.
- It would be Sokoto city, for the "Niger" option
- or Abakaliki city for the "Cameroon" option.

If Samuel refuses also this option, then the church will donate the contents of the package to a local orphanage in Ghana... we will try to get some funny trophies from Samuel, and then the church will hire another accountant (because Gerry is still hospitalized)... this new accountant will discover in Gerry's computer all the plans of the 2 accomplices.

I can not accept the extra costs of the stopping of the parcel back to us. It will be seen as an insult to the elders.
You are a reverend now and one of the requirements of a reverend is the ability to solve problems. I believe that the Lord brings some trials on our path to strengthen us and teach us how to get through it

I got your email and it surprised me that after all I explained, you still did not see the danger the so called TSC delivery company agents are setting up for an honorable man whom I used his address to receive the package. This is not about me as the new reverend, it is about the receiver who was not pre-informed that he will be traveling some seven hours journey to the border to hunt for a package that a reputable Shipping company has been paid fully for the delivery and they failed in their responsibility. Well sister Dave, the truth is that the receiver has taken his final stand on this, he did not accept to embark on that journey, it is risky and illegal to carry such status of parcel tagged (High Value Content) to pass through the Nigeria border territory, through all the numerous Custom checks without any legal papers certifying him as a delivery agent. This is going to be labeled "Smuggling" sister Dave. I don't want it to seem as if I am arguing with you over this, but the truth remains that it is not going to be possible.

If they (TSC) think it is that simple for the receiver to just come pick the package up and go, why is it difficult for them to pay any of their Agent in Nigeria all that money they are offering plus the 50% and let him pick the package up and deliver it to it's final destination, NO, they will not do it because they know the implications. They are just looking for who will bear the consequences of their total failure. All the Nigeria borders are so deadly and hazardous, all the Custom officers out there are highly corrupt, if any one tries this arrangement, those items will never make their way into the city and you could get into trouble with the security agencies for smuggling.

Our new parish needs your support, but it will not be right to risk any one's life, honor and integrity in the hands of these corrupt officials along the Nigeria border territories to get the support. Please recall that package or let the TSC agents contract any of their agents in Nigeria to go to the border and receive the package and deliver it to the designated address. The receiver has declined going for such a mission and there is nothing I can do.

I have been most loyal to you and your whole instructions towards this process, but on this one, am sorry I will have to disagree with you. Please try to understand my point here. This is all I have to say.

I managed to talk to my colleague from Niger (the local manager there) and he confirmed to me that there are certain problems in the border region. Corruption and violence, especially from officials. He proposed to send a driver to bring the package to a city called Sokoto. It is a big city, far from the border. One of his agents has some relatives in Sokoto and knows how to get there. So we can make the delivery smoothly in that city called Sokoto.

All delivery details will be discussed with the local manager and will be agreed with the Receiver.

I asked you to step up as a reverend and try to solve this with the shipping company directly. They know much better than me what is possible and I am not in the position to change the way they operate.
I have just spoken to father Eduard about this matter and he said that it would be a big insult to the church, the elders and the sponsors to request the parcel to be sent back, which will cause more costs for our church.
He said that if you can't find a solution with the shipping company he feels himself forced to donate the complete parcel to a local charity close to the warehouse where it's currently stored.

Father Eduard should not see it that way, we are very appreciative of the fact that support was sent to us, but the package has not got to us, and we are only expressing the impossibility in going to a strange city to receive a "High Value Content" HVC package back to Lagos without any courier agency License. All I can say is, if the package cannot be delivered to us directly, and you cannot call it back to the UK either, then you can donate it to charity out there in Ghana as your spirit is led. It is better than leaving it to get stolen or vandalized in their warehouse out there.

Our Parish will still move on with or without the courtesy package and sponsorship money. We are committed to doing the work of God, not really because of the incentives attached. The support we should receive from your church next time is supposed to bring us joy, not this kind of pain we are facing now with TSC, they are grossly unprofessional even though you believed so much in them even when you see that they have clearly failed you.

He in His mighty wisdom may have decided that others will need the support more urgent than your parish. However, I hope you understand that with the rejection of this courtesy package, there will be no way that there will be more funds sent to you. By rejecting this support you express the ability of your parish to operate by its own means and it is expected that you will have gathered enough parishioners to donate their tithes for the funding of your parish and support you financially for your daily needs.
This is a very unlikely situation that has not occured before and I had to look into our protocols to see what should be done in a situation like this, but our protocols, which are established by the council of elders lead by father Iohannos, God rest his soul, in 1959 are very clear about this.
You are not willing to take a step and find a solution, we are not willing to take the risk of the shame of being accused of money laundering. Don't ask me again to send the parcel with another company because the decision is made and we will not change it.

About the sermon, I watched it with great joy and I have a huge faith in you as a reverend of your local church. I have given it to the elders for review and I expect father Eduard to contact you about it himself, probably tomorrow. One thing of concern that I noticed is that the monument of faith seems to be falling apart. The sides, which originally were nailed to the base, were being lifted up by the wind. Please fix this and make sure the monument of faith will remain in a good and solid condition until you have found a church building. I expect this to be taken care of tomorrow.
The number of parishioners were few. Based on the video's of your baptism and the triumphant march I expected you to have more parishioners present at the Sunday sermon. I think it will be a point of attention to learn some motivation skills to motivate the parishioners to get up early on Sunday to come to the service. I don't blame you because they were probably heathens before and are not used to going to a sermon on Sunday morning, but this is one of your duties as a reverend to motivate them. I hope to see more people present next Sunday. Also prayers and hymns should be a part of the sermon, but I am sure that father Eduard will tell you a bit more about this.

Today they tried to get brother Gerry off the intubation, but he didn't respond well enough yet so they had to sedate and intubate him again. It is very worrisome and I'm still spending a lot of time going back and forth to the hospital to pray for him.

My colleague Claude from the headquarter of the Company told me about you and I know that you are a special nigerian customer to whom I have to send a parcel and some cash-money. It's true? Insha'Allah, do you want to collect the parcel from our main warehouse in Kumasi or from Accra? Our main warehouse is located in the north of Kumasi, in the industrial area of Bremen. You have to cross the city right through the center and, at the exit to Kodee (on the Kumasi - Techiman road), immediately after the Church Of Pentecost is the street (on the right side) that leads to the warehouse.
