I think it's safe to assume by now that Samuel completely abandoned the idea of getting the package. I also think that he really tried to enter Ghana and was disappointed. There's no solid evidence to support this, but his whole behavior points towards it.
Unfortunately Samuel didn't yet caught up with the profitable possibilities of a romantic affair with sister Dave, but she won't give up so quickly.

Linoline Just how confident are we that Samuel is in fact in hospital with pneumonia? He did travel a long distance, suffered a lot of stress and being in hospital just after that seems like a reasonable scenario (not to mention that everything he says about the doctor, prognosis, treatment etc also sounds plausible). But could it be that he was buying time until Gerry recovered? If so, we are dealing with a “smarter than usual” lad.

Scammers lie and try everything they can to avoid working. Samuel worked a lot and he is very disappointed with what happened. He is buying time now so the parcel will expire and he can beg sister Dave to send him money.

Sister Dave is just the mangled name we use to post here. She actually has a normal female name, but we don't want the scammers to google and find the baits, so we edit them. This version is with thanks to purple. He's the one who made the suggestion ~2,5 years ago and we use it ever since. Accidentally I've used it to sign of an email a few times, but the scammers never mentioned it.

We are hoping to pursue the romance angle, of course that might take a bit of time, especially now that he's pretending to be in the hospital and can't communicate well. Sister Dave will be angry with the church for refusing to help him after he 'rejected' the parcel. Of course she's 100% behind her man and she recently got an inheritance from an old dead aunt or something and she's willing to help, but she also wants to meet her beloved Samuel. In a safari resort in Pendjari national park Benin, or Cross river Nigeria, or a (yet to create) new resort a bit closer, but at safari distance.

Oh yes, I really hope to get proof of the safari, but I already know that he won't deliver.
He is not in the hospital. I'm convinced of that, so he'll have to forge some documents which sister Dave will of course gladly accept.

I baited a scammer a while ago, also with Birlic. (This one) He faked sickness, he faked his mothers sickness, he faked hospital bills, but used the name of a real hospital and was outraged when the money was sent to said hospital directly.

I think that sooner than we are aware of there will be held a big wedding at safari in the Calabar area   Sister Dave has already started to prepare the trip I believe

While other delivery/logistic companies are at least performing legal responsibilities (level 2 on the Corporate Social Responsibility pyramid), TSC is going above and beyond by engaging in philanthropic responsibility (level 4) by giving away abandoned packages to the needy. Other companies better take some notes to maintain competitiveness. 

Poor lad. His whole world is collapsing right before his eyes and there is nothing he can do about it. 😃 Don’t worry Samuel, I’m sure you will get something out of Dave. 😆
