Monday
09.03 - The parcel is in Cameroon... directly from "the server": Starting tomorrow we will try to convince the idiot to travel on the route Accra - Lome - Cotonou. ===
10.43 - Claude writes to Phil, about the delivery operation: - Everything is fine, all the delivery costs are paid, so our scammer can relax. - The local manager ( Linoline) will contact him tomorrow in order to establish the details. - The scammer will soon find out that the delivery will take place in Cotonou, Benin... because the operating license in Ghana was revoked a few months ago and the company's lawyers have not yet managed to solve the problem. - Of course, all the additional expenses (occasioned by the Accra - Cotonou trip) will be borne by the company, after the idiot arrives in Cotonou and meets with the company's representative. - The central warehouse of TSC in Benin is in Parakou, but of course the local manager will agree to send a driver to Cotonou. Joojoo will be happy to bring the package and meet Phil anywhere in Cotonou.

11.55 - Claude to Phil: Let's start stressing our idiot. - Claude mentions that delivery to Ghana is impossible, so he offers the alternative Benin or Mali. - Of course Malcolm was informed (when he handed over the package to the Australian TSC representative) that there were some "problems in Africa", but he did not know the exact details. - Initially, Phil will probably refuse to move his ass from the chair, but we will try to convince him and of course we will remember the abandonment procedure. Starting tomorrow, he has 14 days to pick up the package... otherwise, the package will be sent back to Australia (if Malcolm agrees to pay the return costs), or the package will remain the property of the local delivery team in Benin. - We hope that the money hidden in the package will be a serious motivation for the idiot to travel.
In this evening the parcel will reach the airport in Cotonou.
===
12.15 - Our scammer is not happy... not at all. Claude: ===
12.28 - The first doubts begin to appear? ... Phil to Claude, regarding the "email addresses of the TSC". Claude: ===
Phil believing that he has found the miracle solution ) ... he demands that the package be taken over by another company and brought to Accra from Cotonou. Claude: - Of course, this solution cannot be accepted by Malcolm, due to the fact that the money hidden in the package will be discovered and confiscated and Malcolm will have serious legal problems and will be accused of "money laundering". - So, Malcolm has to turn down this solution and encourage the scammer to travel... especially since the company will reimburse all travel expenses. Eventually, Malcolm can tell Phil: "You have a chance to ask for more than a bus ticket and a meal at the restaurant... they'll pay, because it's their fault." ===
13.00 - Phil does not seem to be aware that the money will be discovered and that everything will be confiscated. Mal probably needs to explain this to her again. Claude: It's funny to see this scammer become so active. So far, he has been content to sit and wait for the package. ===

So I called. And Mal was not happy with what the Orphan said.
Mal will be sending various emails tomorrow.

Looks like the phone conversation worked. Phil gave up the idea with DHL, but insists that the package be brought to him in Accra ... of course, the package will arrive in Cotonou and we will follow our scenario.
Phil to Claude: and Claude to Phil and Malcolm: ===

Yastreb: Of course, Mal will refuse to pay for transportation back and will threaten the idiot that "he will donate the package to an orphanage in Benin." Right?
From the TSC server to our boy... the parcel is it now in Benin: ===

He still can't believe that everything ends in Cotonou and that the package doesn't reach him in Accra. For now, he is in a state of denial, but we will try in the next few days to motivate him hard enough to get on the bus and come to Benin.

The Orphan has been forwarding email chains about the exchanges between Phil and the company. Two were sent without comments, and one was headed thus.
15 February, 0024 Lagos time Dear sir See what the company has just forwarded to the person that will receive the package you sent for me. That they can't ship to Ghana because they lost their liesenc. Sir they should have told you that they can't ship to Ghana or they have stolen the package please call the company and ask them question
Then this arrived...
16 February, 0622 AEST (15 February, 2022 Lagos time) Dear sir The receiver Mr. Phil S. has told the shipping company that he cannot travel to cotonu to pick the package. The shipping company they are not serious and not doing a good job because the package supposed to come directly to Accra Ghana according to the invoice you sent. They said after 14 day they will contact you so that you can call the shipment back. Please I will like you to call me tomorrow so that you can talk to Mr. Phil
OK then. Mal thought long and hard, and then responded at length.
Listen up. I'm not going to waste words here. Find a map of Australia. Take a look at it. You'll find Alice Springs right in the middle. Check out the distances. Round trips to the main cities on the coastline are a couple of thousand miles. I took a trip to Sydney to buy the items I sent you. That's two thousand plus miles, with air fares and accommodation expenses and other transport costs, plus the cost of the items, plus the cost of sending them. All that and I wasn't in Alice Springs earning my living. I'm self-employed. I don't get a wage. I make my living teaching people to survive in the wilderness, and 2020 was a disaster for me, because there have been no tourists from overseas. I've had to live off my saving for the most part, and what I spent on you, on someone I never met, and might well never meet, was a large chunk out of what I have left. Another year like 2020 and I might be on welfare, which I hope will never happen. No-one in my family has ever gone on welfare, and I'm not going to be first if I can help it. As Pink said, "You get what you fucking well give. It's as simple as that." Your guy Phil S. does know you face to face. He's spent money on you. He's got a regular job. He earns a regular wage. He can go the collect the package. He just has to made the decision to go. I've paid my dues. It's time he stepped up to the plate. So here's how it goes. Either Phil S. goes to collect the package, or I have it shipped back to me and I go on with my life, and you can blame him, not me, for what went wrong. Life ain't about second chances.
I'll make that call tonight and see what happens.

16 February, 1815 AEST/0815 WAT You have really try your best for me,you have done what no man on earth would do for me.i so much thank you for all your efforts. I was hoping the shipping company will come to Ghana directly and they put it in another country so far away from Ghana. Sir you are not the course neither me but the fault is coming from the shipping company. And the Cotonu is a French speaking country and philemon only speak English and me too is it's will be difficult. You have to cross 2 boarder before you can get to Cotonu. Is there possible if it's send back to you and you can use another shipping company to send it down for me again sir please I beg you I know is not easy to send package but please find it in place in your hear to look into it. I will be happy to hear from you soon
16 February, 1856 AEST/0856 WAT
I have beg Mr. Philemon he has agreed to travel down to meet them and collect the package Please tell them that we need their number to call them if he get to the country and their address
So Mal replied in order.
Here's what I said before. "Either P. S. goes to collect the package, or I have it shipped back to me and I go on with my life, and you can blame him, not me, for what went wrong. Life ain't about second chances." That's what I'm saying now.
OK, that's good to hear. I'm glad he's seen reason. But surely he doesn't want me to liaise with the company on his behalf? He's an adult, he doesn't need my supervision!
Nothing received since.

15.10 (Accra local time): Claude writes to Phil: ... the message is only to assure the scammer that all the details are already established and that all he has left to do is just confirm the day he will be present at the meeting with Joojoo. Psychologically speaking, the scammer is now just like a mouse in the maze (in the lab)... he has the impression that he "chooses", but his path is already established in advance.

What a clown! It would be the first case in which a scammer would start the journey without even being curious to know where to go. ===
19.17 - He's very silent, so Claude send him another message: ===
21.48 - Phil to Claude... it looks like we will have a traveler on the Accra-Cotonou route. Claude: The only thing that worries me is that he has not insisted on the details of the meeting so far. It's just too easy. Either he is completely idiotic, or he is preparing to surprise us.

Wednesday
06.28 - Phil to Claude: 06.44 - Claude: We can see that he doesn't want to confirm anything... neither that he left, nor when he will arrive. It's hard for me to believe he hasn't made any estimates yet. The idiot tries to stay as low profile as possible, and that will mean a lot of trouble for him when he arrives in Cotonou. He still doesn't know that the our driver Joojoo has to leave Parakou and that this trip takes 6-7 hours.

He doesn't give any information that will be useful for a delivery. He doesn't realize that the JooJoo will need many hours to come to Cotonou. Since he doesn't give solid information. Akwode will not let JooJoo leave the warehouse yet. By the time our friend is in Cotonou (if he goes there) it will be too late for JooJoo to go, so he'll have to wait or will be invited to come to Parakou. It would be nice to get some proof soon if he is on his way or not.
