I am merely a beginner throwing pebbles into the ocean and having fun. The stories, manipulation and drama created here are well beyond me! Maybe, just maybe, one safari would be some fun before I am too old to type or whatever..

bobilili For the time being I am not really interested in anything else than baits that have a reasonable possibility for a safari If we are dealing with a traditional advance fee scam, then one very important requirement for a possible safari is a decent payment to the scammer. If he only gets say $150 he is not willing to travel, but if the amount involved is say $10,000 the possibility for a safari becomes better. I have started to add a sentence like this in the very first email that I send to a scammer in order to make him ask me for a big payment to cover the different costs of the transaction: “It is obvious that a transaction like this demands the involvement of lawyers and that there also can be different other costs associated with the transaction. For me it is very important that I know how much I will have to pay in total. I fully understand that lawyers are not working for free but I hope it can be possible to keep the total costs that I have to pay under $5,000 [or maybe $10,000]. Please let me hear from you how much I will have to pay.”
I communicated with one guy today via email and later on I also phoned him. He promised me that he should check the total price with a lawyer and the get back to me. He did that this evening. The total cost I shall pay is $10,000 If you very early in the bait can fix the fee on this interesting level for the scammer, he is more likely to take the case very serious

08:52 - Sir Godwin and the "Diplomat" Juan from Brussels are working very hard on how they can make one more attempt to steal somewhere between £15,000 and £25,000 from Mr. John. A new trusted "Diplomat" has been found in London and now they want things to move fast forward. Sir Godwin has just sent Mr. John this email:
Dear Friend Mr. John
How are you today regarding your leg. I hope you will be much better today. Sorry for the accident my Good Friend. I expected you call back that yesterday because i tried to call you but the network is not connecting my calls to your phone. What is the problems.
By this time we have reached at the level of this transaction. It is very sensitive that most of our important issues should be discussed by telephone to avoid interference from anybody. It is very important as i am making strong arrangement for the delivery in London.
Hopefully the delivery will be in London by this weekend latest by Sunday /Monday. I have concluded with Mr Juan P......... L.......... and he has found his partner reliable and trusted to deliver the cash delivery to you in London.
Now it is very important you call Mr Juan P....... L......... immediately you receive this mail and discuss with him about the Partner he is delegating to London to conclude your cash delivery.
He is waiting for you call as soon as possible. He agreed on the condition you suggested because of your health i explained to him. And he accepted to delivery condition in London.
As soon as you call him after you discussion you let me know very important. He is not waiting for your telephone call.
Mr Godwin Emefiele
===
09:19 - Mr. John has still much pain in his leg after the accident on the boat yesterday. He is not able to travel to London this weekend and has therefore sent Sir Godwin this email:
My very dear friend Mr. Godwin,
Thank you very much for your email. I appreciate very much that hard work you and Diplomat Juan P........ L.......... are doing in order for us to be able to conclude this transaction in a safe and smooth way.
I am still lodging on my boat and I am doing very good except from the pain that I have in my leg. I had a hard time to sleep last night because of the pain and this morning I have taken an appointment with my doctor. I cannot drive myself so I will take a taxi or ask a friend to give me a ride.
My dear friend, if I am not getting better in my leg as the day is progressing, then I see it as impossible for me to travel to London this weekend. I do not want to take the problems in advance, because I still believe that pain can very soon be much less. However, I would like to ask you if it could be possible for the Diplomat to meet me here in Plymouth. Of course I will be willing to pay him an extra compensation for his effort and extra transportation costs.
When I have seen the doctor, I will give you a call to get the latest info from you. I agree very much that we in this critical stage do wise in having our discussions over the phone.
Best regards,
Mr. John

Just a short update (since I am writing on my mobile). The “Diplomat” in Brussels is seriously working on the case. He has found a trusted person in Irland that maybe can travel to Plymouth to steal my money tomorrow.

Assuming the diplomat's Irish buddy lives in Dublin, he would need to take a ~1 hour - 1 hour 30 minute flight from Dublin Airport to Bristol Airport (since Plymouth City Airport closed down since 2011 and Newquay Airport has suspended all flights due to COVID-19). Afterwards he would either take a ~2 hour drive from the airport to the marina or take a ~3 hour train/bus ride. I'm not an expert in UK travel but according to Rome2Rio, this route is the fastest, but not the cheapest. Either way, the diplomat's bud would be paid back using the payment John needs to give to Sir Godwin, right?

^A flight from Ireland to UK would be nowhere near 5 hours 30 minutes. I would expect under 1 hour. Perhaps you are looking at the times a boat would take?

My bad, that was one of the flights with a stop to Ireland to Amsterdam then Amsterdam to Bristol. A straight, non-stop flight is indeed an hour.

SAFARI FROM IRLAND TO PLYMOUTH ENGLAND ON SATURDAY (HOPEFULLY):I (Mr. John have had two phone conversations with “Diplomat” Juan this evening and also two phone conversations with Sir Godwin. As it looks now there will be another safari tomorrow. “Diplomat” Juan has found a trustworthy Agent from Ireland who is willing to travel all the way to Plymouth England to steal a good amount money from me. In fact when I spoke to “Diplomat” Juan he said, that the Agent already was on his way from Ireland to London. I have been asking the Diplomat several times how much I have to pay tomorrow, but he keeps on saying “Don’t worry about that Mr. John, we will talk about that tomorrow” Sir Godwin knows that I have been collecting cash every day this week and that two days ago I had in total £18,000 in cash. Mr. John has been spending all this week on his boat that is at Plymouth Yacht Heaven. When Mr. John and his friend were sailing yesterday, Mr. John felt on the boat and injured his leg. He has much pain in his leg and can hardly walk. Therefore Mr. John has asked if the Agent can come and meet him at Plymouth Yacht Heaven tomorrow. “Diplomat” Juan has confirmed that this is possible. If anyone will be following on the webcam from Plymouth Yacht Haven link to the web-cams and has the possibility to make some video recordings of the scammer, I would appreciate that very very much It is my impression that both the “Diplomat” and Sir Godwin are slightly nervous about tomorrow. They are worrying if the same thing that happened in Paris can happen tomorrow also .... and of course it will. I just have not really figured out yet what I shall do

You have to do your homework very well, to know what you are saying to the Diplomat. He needs to be convinced that you are familiar with the meeting place.
1) Those 2 livecams are located here... on the back terrace of the Reception. We don't know if the idiot will have direct access to that place. In order to see him live, he should be able to walk / wait on that dock (marked in yellow).
2) The street access and entrance to the Reception.
3) This is a restaurant located right there... it has a back terrace where you can see the yachts. It is probably the best place to wait (because he will be forced to order food and drink).
- It would be a good idea for John to go his yacht offshore, at sea...
- The diplomat arrives at the meeting place and is told to wait at "The Bridge" restaurant... of course he can order anything, because John will pay for everything.
- Of course, the yacht will have technical problems and will not be able to reach the harbor

Thank you Birlic for your valuable tips, info and the photos. Yes, I have been studying the area a bit and also sent Sir Godwin some emails with info about the area and how to get there by car. I will of course use my injured leg as one of the excuses for the long waiting time for the Agent You need to have an digital key/card in order to open the gate, but when you exit you don’t need that. If the Agent waits with the gate till someone else wants to access the area, it seems to be very easy to follow after the other person when he has open the gate. I expect Sir Godwin and the “Diplomat” are expecting to hear from me this morning for an update and some instructions. I better phone them now Sir Godwin doesn’t want emails in this very critical stage of the transaction we are in now.

10:35 - just a short update:I have just spoken to Sir Godwin and "Diplomat" Juan from Brussels. It seems that everything is going according to the plan and the new "Diplomat" (Mr. Wayne) is on his way from Ireland to Plymouth England to meet me. We have agreed this morning, that I shall pay him £21,000. "Diplomat" Wayne is going to phone me any moment from and encrypted diplomatic phone line (so I was told)

It would be great if John could send a small boat to that dock to pick up the Diplomat and take to his Yacht (who is of course somewhere in the harbor). All the Diplomat has to do is manage to reach the wooden dock in front of "The Bridge" restaurant. In this way, we can see him on the livecam. After that, John will tell the Diplomat that there is a small technical problem with the boat / engine and that it would be good for the Diplomat to sit at a table on the beautiful terrace of the restaurant. John will be there soon, very soon. ===

Sadly, no safari today, but “Diplomat” Wayne’s trip from Ireland to Plymouth has not been cancelled though Both Sir Godwin and “Diplomat” Juan has told me that “Diplomat” Wayne would come an meet me today, but that will not be the case. “Diplomate” Wayne just phoned me to ask where I am located (this I had already told “Diplomat” Juan and Sir Godwin several times already). Then I asked him where he was right now, and he said in Dublin, Ireland. He was then talking about flying to London on Money or Tuesday and from there take the train to Plymouth. We will see how it will go. Just when I had ended my call with “Diplomat” Wayne, Sir Godwin phoned me. He was clearly disappointed when he heard that the new “Diplomat” was not able to meet me today

- I believe that John should be extremely upset with Sir Godwin and that he should "re-evaluate" the seriousness of this business. - Perhaps a "day of silence" would be enough for Sir Godwin to start arguing with the Belgian diplomat (Juan). - Mr. Wayne (the boy from Dublin) is certainly a relative / friend of Mr. Juan (Brussels), and Sir Godwin is not happy with the situation.
- The fact that the "Brussels diplomat" was involved in all yesterday's discussions is an clear indication that the "new" diplomat (Ireland) is a friend of Juan. So, clearly Sir Godwin does not control this aspect of the business, and John should categorically point out that "he is totally disappointed and does not understand why Sir Godwin works with such frivolous idiots".

07:47 - When Mr. John woke up this morning he found this email from Sir Godwin in his email box:My Dear Friend Mr John
How are you doing today. Hope you are getting much better about your leg injury you sustained last week in your boat.
I expected your mail and follow up telephone call yesterday . I tried several times calling your telephone line but it was not connecting, maybe it was a bad network.
Please Sir with due respect. It is very important you receive this email from me this morning and call me as soon as possible. I will be out of office from 10 am this morning to an official meeting with the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Will be back in the office much later in the Afternoon depending on the time conclude the close door meeting in the Presidential villa.
You call me on phone for any further information regarding plans today with the person coming to meet you.
All important issues should be strictly discuss on telephone not email any more for security reasons
Waiting for you telephone call
Mr Godwin Emefiele
=== Mr. John of course phoned Sir Godwin right away to hear which important instructions Sir Godwin had for him. And of course he did not have any news at all. He only urged Mr. John to phone "Diplomat" Juan right away. Mr. John so did. When "Diplomat" Juan picked up the phone, it was very clear that Mr. John had woken him up from a deep sleep. He asked Mr. John to phone him again later this morning, because - as he said: "Diplomat Wayne is probably still sleeping" I ask if "Diplomat" Wayne had got a plane ticket for London. "Diplomat" Juan replied that he had so be vaccinated before he could travel, and that he would probably get his vaccination today. Well.... I am not very impressed with these these two "Diplomats" that I am dealing with, but as long as they are willing to travel, everything is fine with me

10:15 - Just a short update. "Diplomat" Wayne from Ireland has just phoned me. He told me that he is taking the plane at 18:00 today from Dublin to London. When he has arrived in London he will phone me (Mr. John). He said me that he knew nothing else than that he should collect some money from me. I then told told him that I was expecting to receive £10M from The Central Bank of Nigeria and that the £21,000 that I shall pay him are for legal fees etc. He just replied with "oke, okee, okee". I am very sure he knows fully what all this is all about.

I have told him that I am in Plymouth and even that it takes almost 4 hours to get there from London by train When he will phone me from London at almost 20 this evening I am going to tell him that I am an early sleeper and that I can't make an appointment with him at midnight (since we will not be able to see him on the webcam). He will have to sleep in London for one night and then travel to Plymouth tomorrow morning. I have the feeling that I will have 3 very disappointed customers tomorrow

09:00 – just a very short update:“Diplomat” Juan from Brussels phoned Mr. John early this morning to hear if Mr. John had any news from “Diplomat” Wayne, that yesterday evening arrived in London from Dublin, Ireland. “Diplomat” Juan had tried to get get in touch with “Diplomat” Wayne, but he did not take up his phone. I (Mr. John) could then tell “Diplomat” Juan that he had spoken to “Diplomat” Wayne yesterday evening and that he had told me that he would be occupied with something else this morning. It seems that these two “Diplomats” that I am dealing with are not communicating very well. Sir Godwin is very excited about the good progress in his business. This is the day where Mr. John shall pay £21,000 to “Diplomat” Wayne. This money shall then be shared between Sir Godwin, “Diplomat” Juan and “Diplomat” Wayne. Mr. John is still staying on his boat at Plymouth Yacht Haven. He has a service contract with a company that is checking the boat once every year, especially the engine. If needed they also do the necessary maintenance work. Today a serviceman from this company will come to inspect Mr. John’s boat, and of course there will be some issues with the engine. The serviceman will change some components and then he will ask Mr. John to sail a trip with boat to see if the engine works properly. This will of course take a lot of time because while on sea the service man will do some further work on the engine. I don’t think “Diplomat” Wayne will be happy with this Barrister Kof is aware of the big payment day in Plymouth. He has his plan === Just saw this email that Sir Godwin has sent to Mr. John at 07:02 this morning:My Dear Friend John How are you today. How was your night rest. Hope much better. I am directed to inform that you should try to understand and reason that the person Mr Juan is sending to meet you is a different Agent from another angle. He just asked him to meet you and pick an envelope from you to him. You should not ask him any questions of any kind. Please so that he will not get annoyed and walk away from you. It is very important you call me for an important information before your meeting him. This is very urgent. I am waiting for your telephone call immediately you get this mail now.. Mr Godwin Emefiele === 09:53 - Mr. John has just spoken to Sir Godwin who has given some instructions regarding the "Diplomat" Wayne. When I meet him I shall ask: "What is the secret code". If he replies: "Dominion", then I know that it is the right person I am dealing with. I shall then hand him the envelope with all the money (£21,000) and let him go. I shall not ask "Diplomat" Wayne any questions

He has just phoned Mr. John and asked if we can meet somewhere else, but of course that is not possible. I explained him about the accident I had on my boat and that I have injured my leg

10:23 - "Diplomat" Wayne is very frustrated. ... His reaction makes us understand that "Diplomat" Juan did not want to tell him too much. There is a risk that "Diplomat" Wayne will refuse to travel to Plymouth if the three scammers do not agree on how they will share the money from John. Of course, John should be "unpleasantly surprised" by Wayne's "lack of professionalism," and Sir Godwin should know these details.

Birlic I very much agree. I somehow believe they are negotiating at the moment and "Diplomat" Juan is trying his hardest to convince "Diplomat" Wayne to travel to Plymouth. My feeling (from my conversations with Wayne) is that there is a better chance that he will travel than that he will not .... But of course nothing is for sure in Scamland
